    IMO dont go over 3.73s if u do a gear swap.....like uncle meat says, ur 1st and 2nd gear will be useless from no traction.

    personaly id do this swap if i were u, tho i thought the 03 cobras came with an alum. block also? anyways they should be the same as far as i remember. im not exactly sure about the 03 engine but if it has the same problem as the 96/97 cobras which is the week rods, change them out also.

    also the rear axle should be ok for awhile but id recommend putting somthing a lil stronger in there with some lower gears.

    11lbs of boost on my coworkers 96 mystic was dynoed at 452 rwhp. and the stock rods and pistons are good till about 450 without destroying them right away. so like i said, u can put about 11psi on the stock engine b4 having to worry a bunch.

    the stock internals will handle up to 11lbs of boost, any more and id say u got a "bomb" under ur hood. then again 11lbs is alot for stock. with any thing over 6lbs on stock rods and pistons i think ud really be diminishing life span or ur engine. gr8ly. For a proper and much more reliable...

    Cobra has alot more then just the 4v DOHC, its got a stronger block, much stronger crank, gears, ground effects, fiberglass hood and truck lid. along with along list of other mods.

    20% from a professional is pretty much the legal limit in WA cuz its not as dark as most think. i have 5% all the way around on my gt and have been pulled over many time. basicly the cop said the 5% is fine on teh rear windows but the door windows need a lighter smoked affect which is 20%

    cc plates are not nessesary. my dads 95 cobra had h&r supersports and when he fractured his neck in a wreck, i installed his h&r's on my 88 gt and my gt's springs on his cobra and has les schwab align the front end. this was 3 years ago and havnt had 1 problem with uneven tire wear.

    98 Cobra down on power

    the IMRC valves are probly clogged. ive seen a pair of these valves that had 30k miles on them and they looked like the car had over 200k miles....lol they design has its pros and its cons but the worst con is the location of the injector and how badly the IMRC's clog. id say clean them.

    i did do my cobra yet, but my ricer protege i just took the calipers off, sandblasted them at work and primed and painted them while there all apart, i think they look alot better.
