    clutch questions

The King Cobra clutch is pretty good. I think it can hold around 300rwtq pretty easily. I also suggest the Spec stage 1. It is supposed to hold up to 410 ft/lbs of torque. Stage 2 can hold up to 520. They are great clutches. :nice:

    What intake manifold??

Don't worry.. I understood what you meant. It was pretty plain english, I just think some people don't want to admit that other people's knowledge might be more accurate than their own ;) I totally agree with what you are saying too. Just because someone gained 4hp at one point in their RPM...

    My Intake decision

Well unless they changed the cam that comes with the systemax kit, i've heard it's no good.

    What intake manifold??

First of all, there was a thread on this exact topic like 2 days ago and i think it even had almost the exact same title. It had a good number of replies, and it can't be more than 2 or 3 pages back if that. Second, why are you running a 75mm TB on a bone stock engine? Let me guess, you...

    My Intake decision

That is a nice intake but it is going to hurt you a bit until you get the blower. Especially with stock heads. The systemax is a great intake though. Also, if you plan on getting the rest of the stuff in that package, you should think twice about the cam. I've heard some pretty negative feedback...

    (Probably stupid) Gears Question

I bought this kit right here for $80: http://www.buyfordracing.com/Shop_Cart/shopexd.asp?id=262 I am getting my 3.73's installed on Wednesday. I thought it would be smart to get that install kit. It might have some unnecessary parts, but it can't hurt to change them out for new ones anyway.

What x-pipe has the best sound?

I'm gonna have to agree about x-pipes not sounding good with chambered muffs. I used to run a Prochamber with my flowmasters and it sounded super sweet, but then I switched to an X-pipe and it doesn't sound as good. I plan on ordering some Spintechs soon, and I have a feeling it's gonna sound...

Cheapest place for the Typhoon Intake?

I've always heard pretty mixed reviews on the typhoon too, usually more bad than good. I also don't see the point in spending more money to clean up an intake right after you take it out of the box. I would go with an actual Edelbrock, or the TFS intakes. Jaidedeye - Where can u get a...

    347 Stroker with supercharge/turbo?

You'd definitely need low compression when running forced induction. Well, I hope you wouldn't build the 331 without a stroker!

    Smog legal gears? What the...

So technically 3.73's are not legal for pollution controlled vehicles, but they won't give me any trouble passing emissions, will they? I know 80% of you guys on this site have gears and pass smog just fine. I gotta pass CA smog comin up here in March. Yikes. I think my bigger worry will be my...

    Smog legal gears? What the...

A few days ago I ordered a set of FMS 3.73's from DPM. But after I ordered the gears, I noticed this in the product description: "Not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles." How could gears not be legal for use on pollution controlled vehicles? They have nothing to...

    BBK intake manifold?

Exactly. And if I'm not mistaken, the final version is already out on the market. You can purchase it from BBK or Brother's performance.

    Ring and Pinion installation kit

No, I just bought the FMS kit in the link up there. My rear-end was rebuilt less than 50k miles ago, and my trac-lok is working nicely so i'm just going to install a new set of gears and I should be set.

    Ring and Pinion installation kit

Cool. Thanks guys. I went ahead and ordered everything. There is an awesome shop in my area that told me it would be $200 for a gear install if I supplied all the parts. Can't wait to get these babies in the rear!

    Ring and Pinion installation kit

I am about to purchase a set of FMS 3.73's from DPM for $139 and I need to know which installation kit I need to get. I'm thinking I need this one: http://www.buyfordracing.com/Shop_Cart/shopexd.asp?id=262 Is this the right one? It is $80 from DPM, and 50resto has it for $85. Then there is...
