    Valve cover guidance

I was in the same boat, and most likely he needs taller covers due to stud mount rockers versus stock pedesatl mount. The short trickflows fit over my 1.6 stud mount rockers, cleared the alternator, and had enough height to add in a baffle and hole for breathers. I did have to notch the...

    427w carbed: done

Nice, I'm sure it runs nice. I almost went carb when I needed a rebuild on my 347, but ended up going soller roller and staying EFI instead. In hind sight I probably could have put in a carb'd windsor for the same $$ and make a bunch more hp/tq. How's the driveability of the carb?

Quick rev vid of my finally completed Cobra

The peak hp will be ~ 6000 rpm and I'll probably shift right near 7k. I went with 10.5:1 just in case I get bad gas or absolutely cannot get premium anywhere close and am running out. I maybe left 5-10hp on the table, but thats fine by me. And I'll be anxious to get it out this year to...

~ 10.5:1 Still pump gas friendly, but should should be snappy off idle. :nice:

Quick rev vid of my finally completed Cobra

Yeah thats just steam, it was 25* out when I took the vid. Its running a little rich, but definitely not burning any oil. I had the inlet tube fab'd by the guy that installed the engine when I got it back from the machine shop. I am going to put better couplers on eventually, but it'll do...

Quick rev vid of my finally completed Cobra

Well its been nearly 2 years since I lifted a head at the drag strip (while running 11.8 @ 120mph :nono:). I switched combos from supercharged to high compression n/a. The reason for this was because my block isnt strong enough for 500+rwhp reliably, and I want fast + reliable. The...

What should tire pressure be at to prevent flat spots?

My car sat for ~ 1.5 yrs and didnt have any loss of air pressure or flat spots. Nitto 315's in the rear and and 275/40 Falken 615's up front.

    Nitto Fitment...315's

I know for a fact they will easily fit on 17x9's, but they do buldge a bit. Hell, I have seen guys with 315/35/17 BFG dr's on 03 Cobra's and they buldged a ton, but still physically fit. I have them on 17x11's and they are not quite wide enough for me, as they come just to the edge of the rim.

Another guess my Dyno # thread (high comp 347)

Well the engine is back in and dropped off at the tuner. The issue with the coolant leak ended up being due to the MLS head gaskets. Apparently in the B50 block there is some extra coolant holes in the block, and the holes are not in the heads I bought. So, the coolant made its way into the...

    Cobra Drag Wheels

Just an FYI, I run 16" Eagle Alloys in the rear and they fit with no spacers or anything. I have 26x11.5 Et Streets and they work really well. The wheels I believe are 16x8.5, or so.

Replacing motor in 95 GT - Need Advice

Yeah, your headers will be fine. Might be a good idea to port match to the heads if the ports are way off. 1 3/4" primaries with a 3" collector would help, but the 1 5/8" will work ok. Can I ask why not 347? You're just leaving hp/tq on the table with the 331. The 347 from CHP comes with a...

Another guess my Dyno # thread (high comp 347)

Yeah it really does blow, I was pretty geeked to drive it this weekend (after being down 2 yrs) and I have spent a very pretty penny on parts, labor, and machine work in the past 6 months. :( And its very possible they missed the thread sealant, but the machine shop guy says he is very sure he...

Another guess my Dyno # thread (high comp 347)

Yep, its seeping THROUGH the HG, so I dunno WTF to think. Either there is a problem with the block deck (was just prof decked), the head deck (brand new heads), or some crazy failure of the Hg (FelproMLS). Either way its a complete and utter dissapointment, as I was literally going to get the...

Another guess my Dyno # thread (high comp 347)

Should I just burn it to the ground??? So get this, my installer put a gallon of coolant in, and it started to leak out of passenger side head, without even cranking over the engine.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Looks like its gonna have to go BACK to the engine shop (Ive had...

Here's the cam specs: Peak tq - 4700rpm Peak hp - 6000rpm Starting shift point - 6500 Max usable rpm - 6900 I'm thinking I'll be shifting pretty close to 7k since it will have 4.10 gears. If I make the same flywheel hp as MM&FF did in this article with the Victor intake - Super...

Replacing motor in 95 GT - Need Advice

The edge of pump gas, generally speaking, is 11:1 compression. 12.3:1 would def be in race fuel territory. I would stick with the 10.3:1, and also check out fordstrokers.com, I've heard alot of good about them.
