    FS: Complete '65 mustang drivetrain

This motor was in my daily driver for the last 9 months, and the car never seriously misbehaved or broke down on me (except once when I swapped a Holley 1850 in place of the 4100 for a few weeks). The motor does smoke some and there does appear to be some blowby. I would definitely recommend...

    Procar elites......

Does anybody have any pictures of the Elites in a 65-66 mustang? I'm considering ordering these and want to know what they look like and how they feel.

How much is this drivetrain worth?

That's just the thing--I have no clue about the block's history. I'm using it as my daily driver at the moment so I don't want to start tearing it down yet. At the same time, I want to sell it in the car to prove it's in running condition. I was thinking I'd be happy to get $500 out of it though.

How much is this drivetrain worth?

Update: I pulled the starter to check the numbers on the block: C5AE-6015E Anybody have any input here? Should I part it out then?

How much is this drivetrain worth?

I'm planning on a 5.0 / T-5 swap in my '65 coupe fairly soon. The motor could use a rebuild but has given me almost a year of 100% reliable service since I bought the car. It smokes some and does have some blowby. Here is a detailed list of what would be included in the package: 1966 289...

    Bodywork / paint in Louisiana

Does anybody know of any reputable / reasonable shops in Louisiana? I'm open to shops or individuals with references. I'm not in any huge hurry to have this done, however I do have a touch of rust on the front corners of each of my doors that concerns me and will need attention soon. Any...

    Help me pick a cam!

Yeah, after talking to one of my dad's old racing buddies last night I'm thinking of a stock HO or B cam as well. My main concern with the HO cam is buying a used one. I don't imagine I can find one new outside of the Ford dealership, and I imagine they'd want an arm and a leg for it.

    Help me pick a cam!

Yeah, after talking to one of my father's old racing buddies last night I'm now looking at the stock HO cam, B cam, or E cam. My only concern with the factory cam is buying a used cam...I know roller cams don't wear like a flat tappet cam will, but I'm still wearing of buying anything like that...

    Finally got my '65...

Sorry for the long hiatus, just been wrapped up in other things. The underside looks great for the most part. There was some some surface rust (no holes, but a bit of pitting) on the floor pan near the driver's side which I've already taken care of. There's a small section in the trunk on...

    Help me pick a cam!

Sorry for the long hiatus, just been wrapped up in other things. The heads are GT-40 irons from a '95 lightning. They've been lightly ported on the intake side, and the exhaust bumps have been removed. I have not had them flow tested, and don't want to invest more money in them having it...

    Help me pick a cam!

Sorry for the long hiatus, just been wrapped up in other things. 65ShelbyClone: Yeah, I'm going with a clutch cable setup. The mechanical setup isn't bad, but I'm partial to a cable setup after having a few Fox / SN95s. 2002BLGT: I'm putting a factory roller motor in here, but thanks...

    Help me pick a cam!

Sorry, looking for a roller cam. I'm looking for something off the shelf, and I imagine those probably run anywhere between 150-300. I'll pay the money for the right cam.

    Finally got my '65...

After 5 years of looking and several botched Ebay deals / scams, I finally found a solid car for a fair price. I finally gave up trying to find something close, and found this listed on the corral in Ft. Lauderdale. The car runs and drives like a dream, and everything (everything!) works on...

Questions on a '65 Mustang -- Any advice appreciated.

Just bought a '65 mustang, so I can finally post here! I've owned quite a few Fox / SN95 cars, but have really always wanted a classic. (been looking for a solid, reasonably priced car here in Louisiana for years, finally bit the bullet and had one shipped here) So, I've got a few questions...

    How to adjust air/fuel ratio

Mike Keirstead. Well if you ever find yourself getting advice from that piece of trash, willys, ask him to give me the money back for the heads he never sent me. I'd appreciate it.

Walk me through the removal of the A/C system.

Yeah, it's really not too hard to do. Shouldn't take an hour, no matter what your skill level. Make sure you seal the compressor and accumulator as soon as you remove them. That way, they'll still be good if you ever change your mind or want to sell them.

Help! White smoke billowed from hood!

The clutch on my 94's A/C compressor froze up once, and the belt sliding across the pulley produced enough smoke (I remember it to be white smoke) that I thought my engine had caught on fire. I killed it and the smoke dispersed pretty quickly...I couldn't figure out where it came from. I...

New times for new combo. If anyone gives a ^&@^

By the way, the numbers listed above are his cell phone, which he doesn't answer or return voice mails...and the Pirate's baseball office, which they say he's been released.
