How much is this drivetrain worth?

I'm planning on a 5.0 / T-5 swap in my '65 coupe fairly soon. The motor could use a rebuild but has given me almost a year of 100% reliable service since I bought the car. It smokes some and does have some blowby. Here is a detailed list of what would be included in the package:

1966 289 heads (not sure of specs)
1965 4100 carb (C5ZF stamped on base)
block #C5AE-6015E
gold valve covers and air cleaner assembly (can use a cleaning / repaint)
stock exhaust manifolds
distributer, cap, wires (I may even throw in the spark plugs)
A/C compressor in good working condition (blows very cold)
P/S pump
water pump
alternator (replaced two months ago w/lifetime warranty)
starter
all accessory brackets
3 speed manual transmission
bellhousing
all other clutch components including clutch linkage but not the pedals (clutch disc, pressure plate, and T/O bearing will need to be replaced)
stock fan
3 row radiator

I will be keeping the wiring harness, accelerator linkage, shifter, coil, A/C hoses, and P/S hoses. Other than that I can't think of anything else I want.

If there is any further research anybody can point me to do on these parts to determine their exact value, please let me know.

I'm a reasonable person and wouldn't be looking for a ton of money, but I do know that some of these parts are worth a few bucks (carb, p/s pump, bracketry, etc). I'd just be looking to get a fair price to help offset the cost of my current build.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Wow that's a tough one. Do you know if the block has already been punched out and if so how much? .030, .040..?

I'd expect to pay $700-$800 for the combo if the block hasn't already been bored out too much to rebuild.

That's just the thing--I have no clue about the block's history. I'm using it as my daily driver at the moment so I don't want to start tearing it down yet. At the same time, I want to sell it in the car to prove it's in running condition. I was thinking I'd be happy to get $500 out of it though.

You should be able to get that. You'd probably make more if you part it out on Ebay but it's also more of a hassle.

Just take a video of it running and tear it out, then you can show anyone interested the video if they'd like to see it.

Here's the problem, if you pull the motor before someone looks at it; it's worth the price of scrap iron---not much. Even then a person does not know what the bore will clean up at until stripped down and checked.

Am I'm sure you want to get working on your car. So there's your dilema. Figure it's worth nothing and anything you get is gravy. The associated pieces are worth some (????)
