    Thinking about this supercharger kit

I posted here to get opinions so don't be afraid to state your own. I wonder why the stroker kits don't yield very much, my goal was to increase torque but if its not worth the extra money then it will probably just got with a stoke stroke forged kit. Believe me, I want to go turbo soo bad...

    Thinking about this supercharger kit

Well my dream would be to have a 5.1 forged stroker, MHS stage 3 heads and a trickflow bullit style intake manifold. You probably talk more sense though and i could get away with the smaller V-3, however what about it being none intercooled? I would get an intercooler "power cooler" model but...

    Thinking about this supercharger kit

I know, I choose the tuner kit because I don't trusted the "canned" vortech tune on my car. I plan to use AED to do the install and tune on my car. For fuel pump I was thinking either a focus SVT, Aviator from CJ pony parts or a 255 from MMR. Fuel injectors I have no idea about, 42#?

    Thinking about this supercharger kit

I just want some room to grow for the future. Thats why I choose the V1 T-Trim and the new V-3 self contained I worry about leaking like the prochargers.

Had an accident! I got rear ended by a scion

How do the doors open/close. That is a pretty good indicator of how much frame damage has been done to the car. The axle aliment could just be upper/lower control arm damage. I would put it up on an frame aliment table before I made a decision.

Question on letting car warm up

Don't know on the thermostat but I would check to see if you alternator is going out unless you left the door ajar or left something on. I would get both the battery and alternator tested, which is free. You could also scan for any codes. Guess* The bucking seems normal if your battery was...

Question on letting car warm up

It was 74 degrees today by me and suppose to stay in the 70's for the next week or so. To OP My car when I am on the freeway about 70ish my car tends to run a little cooler than if I am sitting in traffic. My gauge reads about a little to the left of the little temp sign (1/16") on the gauge...

I fix one thing then run into another

It is right above the windshield on the driver side of the car in the area where the plastic outer A pillar meets the roof of the car. The car has never been repainted, except for the custom colors on the hood, doors and front fenders. I did some searching and apparently when ford painted the...

I fix one thing then run into another

How should I go about fixing this paint issue. Its the original paint and I noticed a while back the bubble but today when I washed it (year Later) I noticed that the bubble had flaked away.

Differential & axles: Strange vs Mosler vs FRPP

Detroit locks under power and unlocks upon negative load, ie hitting the brakes or releasing the throttle. My friend has one and has never had a problem with it for 15,000 miles. The tires just chirp if you take turns with heavier then needed throttle pressure.

    help

Skipping or slipping? If you have an auto I suggest taking a look at if you have low trans fluid and what color the trans fluid is. Sounds like slipping clutch packs if the speed surges like that or TC locking/unlocking.

What does this cold start engine ticking sound like to you?

Why is that not an option? Well if I had to take a wild guess I would say it has to do with your oil systems. Sounds like cam tap/valve tap/lifter tap or something with the timing chains such as a tensioner that is stuck or corroded in a way that it takes longer to build up oil pressure to...

What does this cold start engine ticking sound like to you?

I would take it back to who ever rebuilt it and show them the video. Assuming the rebuild came with a warranty.

    Loud Tick/Knock after Intake Replacement

First question is why didn't your "mechanic" pull the valve covers off when he replaced the timing chain system? I am pretty sure that is a required step. The timing on these cars are very sensitive. Are your sure it the same knock? Because early you said it was a tick not a knock. A knock sound...

    Oil Pan Drain Plug Drip

Well, I will put it on the purchases list for my next oil change. At napa or any other parts stores will they have to order a specific one for my mustang or is a generic one that they will have in stock? I will probably go get one next week and just put it in my glove box til my next change...

    Oil Pan Drain Plug Drip

When I tighten the drain plug, I usually tighten till snug and then an additional 1/4 of a turn. I have dealt with stripped oil plug bolts on other vehicles but my pan is just fine. Its weird though, I put some cardboard under the car after I notice the drip. After I cleaned the area around...
