    More Trouble Code Questions - P0171 & P0174

    Morning ! I had these codes pulled by Auto Zone on an '01 Ranger w/ the 4.0 SOHC. I bought a gas cap based on the part's guys reccomendation ( 12 bucks - what the hey - he did pull the codes. :cool: ) But, I still don't see how lean condition detected bank 1 & 2 could be gas cap...

    Can't honestly say on a Stang, but ... On my SS vs. the T/A I had previously I can definitely tell a difference ! The T/A had 16" GSC's - the SS came w/ 17" (275/40ZR/17) and it road walks. Not horribly so, but enough to let you know that the road has an imperfection in it. :p...

    Just wanted you to know ... That even if the sensor does not turn out to be the problem, you still saved me $ 50.00 :flag: in experimentation costs ! Holy Crap ! :crazy: I am getting a Ford one thru a buddy for less than $ 20.00 . Thanks again for the help ...

    Do you know where this sensor is ? I do not have my haynes in front of me, but it seems like there were 1 or 2 other items in the EGR circuit. I am still trying to get an answer from Ford as to whether or not this is covered by the 8/80K emmissions performance warranty - the local dealer...

    Mach 1 Hesitation under hard accelleration

    Any possibility it is fuel related ? Houston runs the RFG fuel for emmisions - I wonder if that affects it. The other thing might be if the IAT ( Inlet Air Temp ) sensor is sensing the warmer temps , and backing the timing off . :shrug: Just some random thoughts. 4.30's ...

    I am confused. LT1's feel strong on the bottome end, but peak out in the mid range of RPM's . The LS1 torque curve is deceptively smooth across the entire range, and their HP is produced in the mid to upper RPM range. Unless, of course, you run into the GM equivalent of a 5.0...

    Getting beat up , I am afraid ! Between my little incident last January ( ' 04 )where I kissed a freeway wall with the passenger side - no frame damage, but LOTS of damage to my ego :nonono: ( I still don't know what happened other than I was sliding the wrong way on the freeway...
