    The past month or so I have noticed about 50% of the time when I go wide open throttle and I get above 4k there is a very noticealbe drop in power and noise. I hear nothing that sounds broken or terrible or anything like that, it just gives you that same feeling like when you have the traction...

    Qn on 99 cobra transmission

    I know if you use synthetic trans fluid your problems will probably go away, but I would use what they recommend for it, dexron/mercon III. Just use that and you should have good results, helped me out with reverse alot.

    If its stock, stick with a stock ford one. I have a Centerforce and it makes bad noises, I hear Spec is great, cept its very harsh on the tranny, those are the big two aftermarket ones, or Mcleod makes some very high end, very expensive ones for his cobra. Ram may make some as well. Same players...

    TRANSMISSIONS JUST PLAIN SUCK! What a headache, I had the same problem with my trans shop telling me I damaged the synchros and bla, bla, bla, even though I did not and it only took about 2k miles to break my t45 again. But now they rebuilt again under warranty. No problems yet thank god...
