i've heard other complain about them squeking, mine only squek when im not fully applying the brakes and it doesnt bother me too much, not too loud. You applied the anti squell compound to the back of the pads right???
expect stupid stuff to break, my window regulator broke, my trunk leaks, my taillight and fog lights leak, and the stock ford headlights are crap, an ignition coil went bad, and my iac went. but overall I'm very happy.
get a 99 gt with no options(no leather, no traction control, no mach stereo, no auto). They all come with power windows locks and most have 17" rims. This is what I got for $9.5k, it needed tires. Or you might be able to get a 97 or 98 cobra for the same price.
I first wanted the steeda gauges but now I want the autometer (damn my expensive taste). I thought the steedas didnt have white at the bottom where all the dummy lights are, if that makes any sense. As far as the autometers being too bright I think I saw a dimmer controller that goes with them...
a mid pipe is the exhaust piping that runs between your header and cat back, stock it come with 4 cats which rob horsepower, i just switched to an off road x (no cats) by upr, only cost me 144 to my door, and its not too loud even with my magnaflow catback, sounds just right. And as far as our...
umm eibach sportlines, mm c/c plates, mm rear control arms, mach shock/struts, accufab 75mm tb/plenum, off road x pipe, steeda pullies, subframe connectors
i dont think those mods should affect the warranty, maybe you should go with a catted x
a tune can mean more than a few horses on a supercharged engine, ive heard of ppl gaining 50 hp over their tune that came with the blower
get a tune, if that doesnt fix it get a calibrated maf and check the iac
1. they all produce the same hp(260) and torque(302), but the 99-00 have lower compression than 01+, some say they handle forced induction better
the manual trans changed in 01 I believe from the t-45 to the t3650
there are some very minor differances in the interior, 01 up gets smoked...
i think theyre worth it, I only paid 75 used so for 75 theyre a great deal, probably gained a few horses, ive seen dynos of 4-7rwhp for pullies. No charging issues yet like some ppl have had, I paid 60 to get mine installed b/c the air tools i tried to use were too cheap.
are fox springs progressive or linear, I dont think progressive springs should be cut, and you might want to do you shocks/struts and cc plates at the same time as springs(if your car is an 04 you can probably use your existing shocks b/c theyre new). Go with the subframes since its cheaper and...
theres a mach 1 with a targa top in mm&ff, its completely custom, you could have bought it for 50k maybe its totally bad ass. by the way does your dad want to adopt me? i think me doing some chores equals a porsche911 tt or a ferrari every few months. btw youd have to get mach 1 springs to go...
I'm in the same situation as you, but I'm just gonna save until I have at least 600 so I can do it all once. Try checking ebay and the part trader you might be able to get used parts a lot cheaper(can probably get used c/c for like 80)
