    Hows my setup?

Yeah I know the importance of suspension, I loved the cornering ability my 240sx had and I know I won't get that in the 5.0 but I'm going to try to get as close as possible. This thread is really just about what kind of power I can expect to the wheels and what that would translate in the 1/4...

    Hows my setup?

Suspension and brakes are the first things I will be doing after a few paychecks. It's going to be a street car more then a track car, but I'm curious as to what I would run because I want to get to the track a few times this year. It's being built to be a fun street car though.

    Hows my setup?

Hey guys I'm moving to the dark side to domestic from imports. I picked up an 88 Mustang LX hatchback. It's currently getting some work done to it and I am wondering what you guys think about the setup. Do you recommend anything else, anything I have unnecessary? What should I make to the...

Ok so plans have changed a little. His cobra upper and lower intake is from a 94 5.0 so it won't fit. He sold all the other parts as a set to someone else. I'm trying to get my hands on a set of gt40 heads, would you guys recommend going with a gt40 upper and lower intake or an edelbrock...

Sorry I missed this part of your post. The guy that is doing the work for me is selling me the cobra upper/lower intake plus mass air flow and stuff. He will be doing the speed density to MAF conversion for me. In his listing for it it is worded like this, "I have a cobra upper and lower...

Ok what gas do you suggest I use? I have 87, 89, 91 and 93 and the gas station that I have always gone to since I've been driving. Should I run stock timing? Also, update on the insurance situation. I called Geico today which is who I have my truck insured with and the rest of my family (2...

Yeah I figured it was the heads holding me back. A tune is needed to run this setup, what do you recommend? Can I just go get a dyno tune or do I need to buy an OTS tuner?

Ok I will see about doing that and update the thread with what happens. Also, I know this doesn't have anything to do with the thread topic but I don't want to start another thread just for this. The car I just bought is an 88 LX with these mods: stock bottom end with 70k ported e7 heads...

    Collectors/classic insurance

Yeah it sucks that its so expensive because I'm 19. It's not like I have any tickets or accidents (knock on wood). At least one company out there has to offer collectors insurance for me. Would it be possible to have it insured through classic insurance under lets say my dad and list me as a...

Thanks for the replys guys. It would just really suck if I had to pay regular insurance on the car. I pay $288 a month for my daily and if I have to double that it would SUCK... thats a lot of mod money haha. I have a clean driving record as well and so do both my parents.

    Collectors/classic insurance

Hey guys my names John and I'm new to the forum. I just bought an 88' LX 5.0 as a "weekend cruiser" type car. It will not be my DD. I've been doing research on classic insurance and haven't had much luck. It seems most companies you need to be a certain age or have a garage. Does anyone know any...
