Where to find the turbocharger jet engine site.

I remember reading a post on here about 11/2-2 years ago about a site where someone had taken a T3 and turned it into a jet engine. Does anyone remember that website anymore? I would like to find it again because I would like to start a new project. Thanks.

    Got a question...

I deleted that too when I did my turbo swap and now it occasionally pukes oil out of the dipstick hole. Did it yesterday and made a hell of a mess under my hood. I think I will hook it up again. I would say that if you like a good, clean engine bay leave it hooked up.

How else to winterize your car.

some great tips here, I did try a bigger piece of cardboard and seems to do the trick. I usually am able to wash my car every other week as we get a warm snap(freezing or a little above) about that often. I will have to try that stuff about the door seals and the latch mechanisms. Those...

How else to winterize your car.

I am, of course living in Iowa, which means we can see some fairly cold temps. Driving in these temps can really be a cold proposition at times and I was wondering what other people have done to winterize thier cars. I have recently put a 195* thermostat in my car, the coolant is topped off...

lol this guy on ccr sais that a c3 is the best trans for a 2.3...

Is'nt the C3 the basis for the A4LD. I have read that a time or twelve, and that being the case it is a POS. Drains power, breaks at the drop of a hat, not as much fun, enough said here.

Let us discuss turbo Mustangs (all welcome, especially turbo gurus)

Yeah Dr., It was just some unconnected sensors that caused my headaches. The right way to take an engine out: Red_LX's way, disconnect and label. The wrong way to take an engine out: My way, disconnect, yank, depend on memory wait about a year to put the new one in, constantly peruse...

    starting motor w/o exhaust

I ran my 2.3T with just the downpipe opening up in front of the passenger footwell for about 2 weeks. To me, it was unbearably loud, I think because my car was acting like the muffler. The police, neighbors, etc., never even looked twice at me unless I would get on it. I could always hear...

    Replacing plugs on 8 plug 2.3 I-4.

I could always replace the plugs on my 91 stang in about 45 mins. The upper intake had access to the #3 intake side sparkplug. I also used one of those spark plug sockets with a universal joint on it.

Hard to start in the morning

Unless it is an "Optima" brand no battery is truly manitinence free. Pry off the litttle caps with a flathead screwdriver and see if the battery cells are low. That is a pretty common problem and can cause hard starting. That is always one of the first things I check in a situation like...

Let us discuss turbo Mustangs (all welcome, especially turbo gurus)

It has long been a habit of mine to warm up a car before dropping the hammer, I just thought it was especially bad for a turbocharger. Just like smoking is bad for you, but smoking around a leaky LP tank has the potential to be especially bad for you. :D I am only running about 9psi right...

About where on our stock guages is 160? Never have been able to figure that one out. I put a 195 degree thermostat in my car when cold weather started to hit and my car still does not register more than 2 marks above the bottom of the guage. It was 16 degrees here the other day. Am I looking...

Let us discuss turbo Mustangs (all welcome, especially turbo gurus)

I am starting this thread in hopes of answering some questions regarding the post turbo conversion of 2.3 Mustangs. I don't know if I should put this in the tech section or here, if it belongs elsewhere I am sure one of the Mods will put it there (please PM me if you do). I have a couple of...

Emergency Brake Light in the Dash

It is probably just the little switch that is by the ebrake handle. Take off the console piece and you can adjust it to where it will shut off that light.

    Sand Bagging

I have done 2X50lb bags in my 2.3n/a A4LD. Worked pretty well, little fishtailing around the corners, only got stuck once when I parked too close to the curb (8in of snow). But when it is snowy, I also drive like I have a brain. easy throttle, sometimes have to start in second, etc. Hills...

I know craftsman makes these tools that are much like a socket that are supposed to take off rounded nuts, and etc. Never seen if they work, but they sure do look handy. Besides, how can you do a trans conversion if you cant get your old flexplate off (friendly poke)
