Has anyone done an EDIS 8 conversion?

Forgot to mention I mounted my 36-1 wheel by sliding it as far up the back of the crank pulley as i could, then using Loctite construction adhesive to fasten it, it's still there after 2yrs. can provide pic's if needed.

Has anyone done an EDIS 8 conversion?

I used the 36-1 wheel from an Escort and it fit perfectly onto the crank pulley i got from Classic Air "Perfect fit Kit" . I then use a cam synchronizer shaft from a mid 90's Explorer to drive the oil pump. car parts, auto parts, auto accessories from Coolparts: Dorman Engine Camshaft...

Is 10" of vacuum in crankcase normal?

Vacuum in crankcase-Fixed Thanks to everyone for their help, I replaced the intake gasket and manifold and that fixed the problem, I will note that there was a huge difference between the intake gaskets from my generic rebuild kit and the Felpro 1250's i ordered with the new manifold. I also...

New engine - runs but wont idle

I just went through this on my engine, the intake gaskets i got with my generic rebuild set were like paper compared to the Felpro 1250 set i ordered to go with my new manifold. If you decide to use the 1250's (supposedly universal fit on ford 260 thru 351 including Ford motorsport AR...

Is 10" of vacuum in crankcase normal?

needle does not fluctuate on intake or dipstick tube, idles smoothly at around 900rpm, removed old intake last night but unfortunately the intake gaskets ripped so i could not check how well they were sealing, the cork end gaskets looked ok though. I received the new manifold today and will...

Is 10" of vacuum in crankcase normal?

Yes I've replaced the pcv valve, hose and breather and yes i do have power brakes, but I disconnected them and plugged the manifold so as to remove as many of the external vacuum hookups as i could. Out of interest i completly removed the pcv valve and replaced it with a regular breather...

Carb style EFI throttle bodies, sources?

I came across this at Summit while checking out manifolds, its an accel billet tbi, no electronics or injectors $360.00, it has provisions for injectors but they could probably be plugged (maybe by using the kit on the auto-nomics site) if your doing port injection and just needed an air...

Is 10" of vacuum in crankcase normal?

But the engine should be fine as a daily driver/cruiser right? I used those heads because i wanted to lower the compression so as to use 87octane gas and liked the simplicity of the pedestal rockers, same with the cam wanted good idle and vacuum, the engine will rarely see over 4000rpm. I...

Is 10" of vacuum in crankcase normal?

Hi Guys. I have 10" of vacuum in the crankcase measured through the dipstick tube and when i remove the oil fill breather the engine will stumble and die. I have 16" of vacuum in the manifold, I'm getting ready to remove the carb and valve covers to check the gaskets, and maybe the...

running on EFI, 2nd edition..... it's alive

I'm sure you've checked this, but make sure your using a 9 pin straight through cable and not a null modem cable, when I went to buy my cable i grabbed the first 9 pin one i saw which happened to be null modem, doesn't work. I think bottlefed70 advice will probably set you right. Steve.

    289 to 331 Problems?

Yes, it would be better to buy a crank from Summit, etc. I thought the article might be pretty old when i read how they had to weld and build up the crank, when we all know you can go and buy one. It still seems like an interesting way to go, especially like you said with the overbore you...

    289 to 331 Problems?

I was going to stroke my 289 to 331, but the expense wasn't in the budget at the time so i just installed a 302 rotating assembly-crank,rods and pistons (cannot use 289 pistons as the piston skirt is longer and will hit the 302 crank counterbalances). I wouldn't hesitate to stroke a 289 to...

    Calling EDBERT - Gauge upgrade!!

Yes, my car is a 67, i've just always liked the woodgrain dash, and since the car was so far gone when i got it, thought i just would rebuild it the way i liked, with bits and pieces from a bunch of Fords.

    Calling EDBERT - Gauge upgrade!!

Hi. When I did my gauge conversion I just used the stock harness, each of the stock gauges has its own power lead black/green, i just transferred them to the autometer's, if you compress the stock connector slightly it will fit nicely on the autometer round contact post. Also water...
