    Drive shaft question

It should. The one I installed from FMS a while back was listed as fitting '79 - '95 Mustangs with T5 transmissions.

    upgrading alternator

The maximum rating for the stock 4 gauge wire is 135 amps. 3 gauge handles 158 amps and 2 gauge handles 181. You might be able to get away with not changing your wire, but there is also the fusible link to deal with. I'm running a 200 amp alternator with 2 gauge and I have no problems. I did...

    bouncing oil pressure guage

Make sure the body ground strap has been connected back to the block. Without a good body ground, the gauges act really weird and give bad readings.

Do I need tfi module if...

The 6 BTM generates the primary voltage signal only. The TFI is nothing more than a coil that steps the primary voltage way up to 30,000 to 40,000 volts or more.

Do I need tfi module if...

Yes, you need the TFI module. it is what actually generates the electrical current to get your spark plugs to spark. The 6 BTM is ideal for engines with a turbo or supercharger. Not only will the engine benefit from MSD’s full power CD sparks, but there is...

    Spark jumping

Why couldn't it be the Crane ignition box? I assume it has some sort of rev-limiter built in. Maybe it's faulty.

High temp, battery light, low voltage, and it won't start with out a push.

It sounds like it to me. Check the ground lead from the battery to the block. It may be corroded or frayed.

High temp, battery light, low voltage, and it won't start with out a push.

:nono: Don't do this! you will smoke your voltage regulator at the very least. It is not true that your engine will run with the battery disconnected (except if you have a magneto ignition). The alternator requires a power source to operate.

    for those who removed spoiler

If you want a temporary solution, try electrical tape.

Going to try to start the car after sitting for while.

    1. Change oil & filter 2. Charge battery 3. Change out old gas in tank if in a high humidity area (engine will run on stale gas but poorly) 4. If you feel ambitious, prime the oiling system and re-time engine after starting. 5. Enjoy

    wierd hard starting problem

How's your timing? Too much advance and the power stroke will try to spin the engine backwards.

    Which manual transmission?

Check this out: http://www.secondstrike.com/Technical/GearCalc.asp It comes up with about 80 MPH @ 2000 RPM with Viper T-56, stock tire diameter and 3.73 gears. The same setup using the SVT version of the T-56 yields 65 MPH @ 2000 RPM.

    Which manual transmission?

I think you'll be below 2000 RPM. I'd say around 1850 to 1900. I do not have a T-56 so I can't be sure. I do remember hearing that 6th gear in the Camaro was pretty much useless below 80MPH.

    Cam Decisions

Yes. I put one on a number of years ago and took it off after a short time. I couldn't take the noise any more. Went back to double roller chain. BTW - You will have to machine the oil dripper off of the back of the front engine cover to use the gears. BTW2 - I'll sell you my gear set if...

    Which manual transmission?

The T-56 is basically a 5 speed with an extra overdrive gear. The trans is much bigger than the T-5 and TKO and will require a custom bell housing, new H-pipe, new drive shaft and cross member. Too much work for what you get. Besides, in 6th gear, your car will have no power due to the lack of...

    Quick Battery hardware question

Try using battery washers. They are great to keep the corrosion away.

    wheel and tire question

I ran 275's on all 4 of my original tribars and it looked good but the handling went down a bit due to the sidewall angle. The installer also had a hard time mounting them. 255's are a much better fit for the stockers.
