anyone build motors? i need to beat a honda.

well whats the goals for the car? if it's just gonna be a track only car do a windosor motor, maybe stroke it to a 408, some nice aluminum heads, and a shot of nitrous, some traction will get you there, regardless going 10's isnt cheap, but i think with the windsor it'd be a little bit easier...

anyone build motors? i need to beat a honda.

gotta understand jonny, in order to "go jonny go" you gotta have some power under the hood, now you gotta understand your question isnt exactly the "run of the mill" btw.... i seriously think we'd be hardpressed to find 3 street legal civics in the 10's, maybe in different parts of the nation...

i went to the track today

not necessarily, dr's kinda take some of the skill out of launching, you can still pull a 2.0 60' on crap street tires like i did, just get behind some slicked out monster, and follow his tracks, just slip till u feel it hook then get on it

15,000 mile oil. fact or fiction?

i dont see how it would, dealerships reccomend 5-7k on a change, i work at an oil change place and see the havoc of people coming in after going that long on conventional oil, hell i wouldnt reccomend 7k on synthetic, there's countless examples of people listening to the dealerships 5-7k, then...

Biggest tires on 10 holes for my 89?

i've heard of people doing it, but i wouldnt reccomend it, not even for a track only tire.... i have 235/60/15's on my ten holes (track only) and they hook fine :D , if you're worried about hooking up, those are good tires, for the street.... biggest i'd go is 245's
