    if I did it, I would get a ponydown.net kit and what not. I towuld be done right, but then it is H/I, rebuild, new clutch, etc. Or I could just pop it on the stock motor, but what fun is that? Plus who has the time?

    Drove a 99 Cobra vert today

    Granted I only took it to about 4500 rpm's (due to the salesman being in there with me), but it seemed like it was only OK in the HP area. I guess I should have taken it up a couple more thousand, huh? Anyway, it was on a lot--44k miles, needed paint, had sfc's and was 18k. :lol:

    How bout this? TC rear for the 3.73 gears (can get one locally) and a v6 rear for the axles and brakes. Swap the axles into the TC rear use the sn95 rear brakes (rotors, calipers, brackets, etc). Put the TC axles and brakes into my stock housing and sell it to someone. I can get both...

    check www.car-part.com. Locally (NE Ohio) GT rears are going for 400-900 dollars. 4 banger rears (unless it is out of a TC) are 7.5 open diff.

    you're rear end housing are different length, arent' they? I know the axles are longer on the 99+ cars. Just something to think about

    I already have the fronts and the wheels. I just need the rears. The best deal I can get locally for a gear install is 200 plus parts. Factor in the parts and my last gear install was 500. I guess I could try to procure a drum 8.8 with 3.73's and then switch the brakes over.

    I guess I can "add" to this thread. Pics taken right after I got it detailed. New things in order are 5 lug swap with 98 GT wheels and 4 wheel discs.
