What are you paying for insurance??

Defensive driving is the best ever. I don't mind paying the tickets or fees, I just don't want it on my record DD lets it get washed off your record, and you get to send in a little piece of paper saying you took a driving course for lower insurance. Of course the insurance companies aren't...

This Is Why I Love Ford!!!

Bring back the Ranchero. Here is what they can use. It even has a 5.4 V8 in it. Australia Ford is where it's at. I wonder why they don't have more Mustangs down under?

    Rant about cable hi-speed internet

 I hate Comcast. "We're better than DSL." Bullzhit. DSL is a dedicated line, and constant speed all the time. My 768kbps DSL was way faster than this Comcast 3.0mbps service. The upstream on the DSL was 128kps, and it was constant. It never skipped a beat. It always ran near that. The...

    Forget Summit or Jegs

I thought that was standard equipment in Hyundai Tiburons. Maybe that is why the Tiburon model has a discount price.

What are you paying for insurance??

That is the joy of Texas. Take DD and the ticket is gone. You can do it once a year I believe. Washington is once every seven years, and I think in Virginia they just take your azz to jail for spitting out the window. I heard anything over 10mph over posted limit is reckless driving in VA. I got...

    :jaw:

Well, it is race ready. Honestly I would say 60k, not 125k. For 125k you could go buy something just as fast with more class. Or put a nice down payment on a Lambo Murcielago.

This Is Why I Love Ford!!!

Isn't the Mondeo available with a hot motor? Ford Australia has some cool cars. Ford should bring back the Ranchero. Use the Falcon Ute as the basis. Those are the original cross over vehicles. Damn, could you imagine the El Camino or Ranchero making a come back? They probably wouldn't sell any.

    New track times

Where is MIR? I heard there is track near Hagerstown. I joined the Northern VA Mustang Club, but I seem to get more info here.

Don't worry, we torch red owners will one day revolt against the tyrannical rule of the performance red crowd, and form our own sadistic tyrannical regime!

What are you paying for insurance??

How do you manage? I'll tell an insurance story....... I moved here to VA and I am getting the third degree. I was stationed here for 4 months for advanced training in the Army. I bought a car to roll around in (a junk Cutlass) and it broke down after a month. I threw the title in the front...

    body styles and names

Sometimes I call the 94-98 'smooth edge' or 'round edge' and the PI cars 'new edge.' You could also call the SN95's a Fox-4. That was the internal chassis designation. I have heard SN95's called lots of things. Slo-fo'six comes to mind for non-PI cars. Somebody get that license plate.....SLOFO6...

What are you paying for insurance??

Damn. I am 26 with one ticket. My car is insured/registered in Washington state (long story), with full coverage and 500 deductibles. Washington has higher rates for some reason. Maybe all the drunks and uninsured drivers here. I don't know. I pay out $140/mo. In Virginia adding max coverages...

    n00b checking in

I was searching for silver or one of the blue colors. I gave up on finding an autumn orange or any of the gold Mustangs. The comp orange wasn't orange enough, and screaming yellow was almost too screaming. Most of the one's I looked at were pretty screwed up. I settled for red on brown because...

This Is Why I Love Ford!!!

I didn't think the V-8 ones were as fun to drive as the first late 80's SHO's. I think all the SHO's had some sort mechanical issues. It is part of the SHO heritage. I first learned about torque steer in a Taurus. I didn't like FWD at all, but it works damn well in winter. You need at least...

This Is Why I Love Ford!!!

I knew a girl that an early Taurus SHO. It was fun to drive and pretty quick for a FWD car, but it broke all the time. If they were going to make a Charger beater with a V-8, I wouldn't name it Taurus. I don't think Ford can really afford to be that daring right now. American car makers are...

    Which gear installation kit?

Motive FTW! I had a set of Ford Racing 4.10's. They were trash. After a few hours of in-and-out, and playing with shims we still couldn't a perfect pattern; the backlash never wanted to conform to spec. We installed them to specs, but they were noisy and clunky. I've used Motive Gear twice, a...

    Who makes Motorcraft shocks?

The lowest bidder. They're probably made all over depending on what car or truck it is for. Ford probably have some no name front company making them. I found that a lot of the branded products we get come from the same never heard of them factory. Like oil fliters and batteries. I am sure...

    Lowered Cars Suck :(

They should have engineered the Mustang with a low stance instead of what they did. Don't get a Pro-Chamber if you're that low. I had a Pro-Chamber and Sportlines, and the chamber box was so low, it scrapped on rocks bigger than pebbles in my driveway. It was literally two inches from the...
