Edelbrock Performer on a 9.5in deck

351w svo blocks are 9.2" also, they are not interchangeable. You wont find a 9.2 deck 351w performer intake though, they never made them.

talk to me about the 351w

You handy with a grinder at all, I wouldnt worry about any emissions junk unless you plan on keeping everything bone stock. Hp ratings on the roller motors are going to be out of wake as they where all in trucks, so they are not at all camed like you probably would in a mustang. The blocks are...

    A question of compression ...

Personaly I think upping the compression beyond 10:1 on a carbed street car is a pretty dumb idea. Lots of cars today like my mom's honda prelude have 11:1 compression or more even, but they require precise computer control to run corectly with premium pump gas. I can even put the cheap stuff in...

    Pistons and floating pins

They haven't arived yet, I just bought them. I know a machinest that might be able to cut them for me if they don't, but I would have to call him up and ask.

    Pistons and floating pins

I hope i didn't screw myself over on this one. I'm pretty sure they are press fit pins, I went with them because i was having problems finding pistons for a 69 block with the 9.48" deck, and they where pretty cheap for a forged piston I'm going to buy forged I beam rods any way so I can buy...

    Pistons and floating pins

I just purchanced some TRW 8.5:1 compresion dish top forged pistons for my 69 351w. I basicaly bought them to stay on my budget for the turbo engine. They where $175 for the set. They didnt say if they had floating pins or not, I would guess that they probably press fit. What is the advantage to...

    $600 for a 1969 351W engine sound right?

$600 sounds way over priced to me. I got my 69 block for $150 pan to carb, std bore, very little ware at all. Everything I know about 351w’s: 1969-1972 = 9.480 deck height 73+ = 9.503 deck height, its harder to get pistons for the 69-72 blocks because if you went exactly to zero deck of the...

    8.8 in a 68 Coupe??

I have a 5 lug 8.8 with disks and limited slip in the back yard. The ring gear housing has F0Z cast into it which means 1990 right? I'ts in a tight spot but is aproximatly 62" from wheel mounting spot to wheel monting spot. Any thoughts? Whats stock for a 67 mustang?

    8.8 in a 68 Coupe??

TTT Still hoping some of the questions in this thread could get answered. I would really just like to know what the width of a fox rear is (wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface), and what does track width refer to? Also why would it matter if the driveshaft was off set by an inch...

how do i polish my torque thrust II's?

Contact allcarfan. Powdercoating has to be baked on at high temperature so having rubber on them would not be a good idea. For most people the only option is profesionaly with somthing that large. If they where small things you can buy a kit to do it yourself for around $100.

    70' disc upgrade Qs???

Sorry, I've been really strapped for time. I did however get the CAD drawing done when I was in Oregon at my sister and brother in-laws house for Christmas. I just have to have him send it to me and ill post it. I've simplified the design even more, to make it cheaper and easier to make. Any one...
