Dumb Question: Heat and Oil Pressure

Dumb question: Will higher temps--both external and engine--make your oil pressure dip a bit or will the oil pump hold the pressure steady no matter the temp. Reason that I ask is that my Oil PRessure was down a tad today. It is 98 with heat index of 114 and I was running with the AC...

Stereo in the glove box pics?

Excellent! I may end up taking part of the top of my glove box unit out so I can brace it at the back. Is it invisible with the door closed? Remote work? I think this'll be the Apline I get. --Paul

Stereo in the glove box pics?

Sorry about the Jumbo pictures, but I figured you'd want to see so I took 'em big. I looked in my owner's manual for the tape deck and it doesn't say about the remote. But, isn't IR line of sight? The fact that it works with the door closed would make it not IR, correct? --P

    ipod connection to stock radio

You are talking about the iTrip by Griffin Technology. You click it on your iPod and set the iPod to broadcast on a specific frequency--they give you everthing from 88.7 to 107.something, so you can find a clear one. It works pretty well.

Stereo in the glove box pics?

Yup, mine does. Of course, the only thing I use it for is adjusting the volume as I use the iPod for playing songs. You have to point the remote at the door, but it'll go through. The fresher the battery, the less precise you have to be pointing the remote. Still, in my class--daily...

6 X 9's in the rear package tray and a set of 6 inchers ready to go in the kick panels when I get some time. I'm running Monster Cable wiring. Good stuff. (Probably overkill, but I got an excellent deal on it.) --P

Stereo in the glove box pics?

I won't take pics of those on my car! :D Here we go. The first pic is of the glove box closed. Usually, it has a small cable hanging out under the door to connect to my iPod. But, I coiled it up for a show last night. Here you go. . . . Here is the one with the door open. The...

I'll snap a picture today. Only two things--A) You can't laugh at my Tape Deck (!) and I want to see how you get your alpine mounted as I am going to buy an alpine myself. --P

The baby powder secret (for the men in the crowd)

I agree. We went through the trauma with our son. A wise female friend told us "His future girlfriends will thank you." We put Bactroban--HEAVY duty antibiotic ointment--on his little man. He was over it shortly. Be glad you did it now as opposed to 4 when he was getting constant...

The one thing you would have done different.

In 1983, we had a chance to buy a basket-case 66 GT-350H for $7000. It was mostly complete, but in boxes and piles. Passed on it because my sister was in college and our money was going there. I haven't had a good thing to say about my sis since. :nonono:

The one thing you would have done different.

I would have never converted from R-12 to 134a. 134 just doesn't cool as well. As for the backseat of a fastback, the backseat of my coupe was almost useless, so I can't imagine the backseat of a f'back.

    Best paint for Radiator top?

What I had read--and this may be a load--was the "regular" spray paints can be too thick and inhibit heat transfer. If you use Krylon, I'd get some flat back engine paint and use just enough to cover. I wouldn't use Krylon on the fins as it may clog. Again, light coats. -P
