    Finished my suspension upgrade

The caster/camber plates weren't really very hard to install. Took maybe 30 minutes? Just follow the instructions. You will need an odd size drill bit, though. I believe its a 13/32, so it might be helpful to get that ahead of time. I think it cost me like $7 at lowe's. Total time for...

You got that right. It brings a smile to my face everytime I step outside and see the new look. :D

    Finished my suspension upgrade

Well I finished my suspension upgrade. I lowered the car with H&R Super Sport springs, replaced all the struts/shocks with Bilsteins and installed caster/camber plates from Maximum Motorsports. Then I slapped on the new Cobra R wheels I got and I think the car looks much better, no more 4x4...

    Attn everyone with Bilstein shocks

I'll try a half size larger. My main question, though, is why doesnt this nut want to go on to the threads?

    Attn everyone with Bilstein shocks

I am currently in the process of replacing all my shocks/struts with brand new Bilsteins. I am working on the rear shocks and I've hit a little snag. I have the old shock off and I'm attempting to install the new Bilstein shock. I am having some trouble with the nut that comes with it that...

    Down shifting at intermittent times

Well I called the dealership today and their records in the computer dont go back that far. Sorry I couldnt get anything specific but I would definitely take it by a dealer as soon as you can.

    Down shifting at intermittent times

I didn't have time to today because of work, but on Monday I will call the dealership first thing and see if they still have a record of what they did to my car to fix it. Hopefully that will help. I'll post here as soon as I get an answer.

    Down shifting at intermittent times

Mine was doing that years ago. A 94 GT, too. I took it in to the dealership and they said they had to replace some chip or something that was messed up. Its been so long that I forgot exactly what it was, but you should have it looked at ASAP. If I remember correctly it cost like $250 to replace...

    A/C Problem

Well I went to the a/c shop yesterday. It turns out I do have a refrigirant leak. Its leaking from a fitting near the valve on the low pressure side. Theres a lot of oil coming out so its pretty easy to tell. I think its actually been leaking for a while, but the a/c still worked so I assumed...

    A/C Problem

Thx, but how do I tell if the clutch is engaging? The only thing I see on the outside of the compressor is the pulley that powers it. I think thats the one with the three bolts in the shape of a triangle, right? And if I have to add refrigirant, dont I need to add some oil to the system, too...

    A/C Problem

Sure thing. If the a/c shop is open tommorow I'm gonna take it by before work. I'll let you know

    A/C Problem

My a/c seemed to be working fine up to a few days ago. Then I went out one day, on a hot day, and it seemed like all of a sudden it doesnt work now. If its particularly warm out it doesnt work at all. In cooler temperatures it seems to blow cold air for a bit then blow warmer (outside temp) air...

    Upgrade Advice Needed

Thanks for the info Jon. I was looking at the Eibach springs. How much do they lower the car? I seem to recall seeing some debates on here about what amount of drop looked best. Also, if I get the springs do I need to replaces all the shocks and struts? I'm assuming so, otherwise they would be...

    Upgrade Advice Needed

Thanks for all your replies. I think I'm going to break down the upgrades into two categories, Presentation and Performance. Since I'm getting new wheels I guess I'm starting with presentation. I'm tempted to start with a lowering kit. I'm sure the new wheels will look good but the car will...

    Upgrade Advice Needed

Heh, ok, I guess I should have included more details. As far as goals for the car, I want it to be a nice street car. I doubt I will be taking it to a track or anything. Its got about 87k miles on it and its an automatic. Though in the coming months I may be doing a switch to a manual. As for...

    Upgrade Advice Needed

I have a 1994 GT that is pretty much bone stock except for the ignition components that I have had to replace because of wear. I think I may be getting some 95 Cobra R wheels and new tires tommorow and I was thinking of a few more things I may upgrade. My first idea was to replace the mufflers...

    1995 Cobra R wheel question

Hey, everyone. I'm looking at getting a set of the 1995 Cobra R wheels for my 94 GT. My questions is does anyone know what the standard size tire is for this wheel? Also, on some sites that have these wheels for sale I've seen an original version and a newer version that was supposed to have...

    Cobra Instrument Cluster

From what I understand a 95 Cobra cluster should plug straight in to a 95 GT. 96-98 clusters require a little bit of rewiring.

You can also use a cluster from a 94-98 cobra if you want. I have some installed in my car.
