Decided to give the old motor one last rip.

Last night I decided to have a little fun with the old motor before pulling it out. I put the spark plugs in and some fresh oil. Car started a little rough but cleared up then it was on. Let me tell you, for base timing (I left the spout connector out) and a blown head gasket she still spun 3rd...

Ok cool... another thing, my dad said the motor was leaning to the side and some oil was coming out of the one cylinder. Is that normal?

Can I just delete the oil cooler on it? Maybe go with an aftermarket one later.

Should I Buy? Need quick answers please!

I'm using a PMS to tune it. My dad will definitely look at the bearings. I'll probably do new gaskets on the heads. Black Stampede- I know what you mean... I guess I'm still young and stupid but getting this motor kinda gave me new hope and thanks everyone for chiming in.

Should I Buy? Need quick answers please!

Basically no money now lol. Definitely needs a new oil pan so I might save up for a bigger one. I was thinking about putting new head gaskets on it too. I guess I'll see what happens. This motor should just drop right in right?

Should I Buy? Need quick answers please!

Yea that would be a lot easier to do with the engine out of the car and I should make a little more power cause the cobra engine will flow better.

As long as the motor holds the boost, I would like to just drop it in my car.

I Think it's time for me to stop messing around! Let's try new motor?

Well for a small update, I've been trying to find a cheap forged motor. I had money but I have to pay off bills. I got a set of heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM I's I think. They're at the the machine shop now getting some new valves. I think those heads with the matching intake should make great...

Is this a good motor to buy?

My motor has milkshake in it and I don't feel like messing with it, so I'm calling it shot. I'd rather just get a cheap fresh motor. I plan on putting a set of used Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads with an RPM II intake on it with my turbo. Probably keep the stock cam. Did the Advance motor come...

As some of you know, I put my turbo on and have been having problems with head gaskets. After contemplating selling it, I decided to build a fresh stock motor. So I just wanted to let you guys know and hopefully get some feedback. I will keep updating the thread as I get into it. I'm not sure...
