i just checked mine, and the two green wires run in to a big bundle right behind my ashtray, you might want to start there. By the way where in wisc are you?? I'm about 100 miles west of lacrose near Austin Minnesota
holy pooo a car in iowa!!! and hey not too far from me!! I'm Headed down that way on sunday to see me mah and I'd gladly swing by to check it out for someone... this guy always has lots of oldies to restore, this is one of the better ones i've seen
hmmm that sounds like MY 76 bronco, couldnt keep oil pressure in her for the life of it, and i thought the c-4 in my mustang leaked! the bronco flat out pukes!! it has not run in almost a year now and every time we move it in my buddies shop there is a 6" diameter puddle of the red type F. HA!
Still having thoughts about this... and trying to clarify something... is the bigger CFM causing to low an intake velocity? Is my engine running to rich or too lean? I pulled the plugs after running for a while and they are clean and white... they dont look burnt, no carbon, they look new...
you shouldnt need to split the cables form the mirror to get the mirror off the car... the knob and everything should slip out through the door.... If you mean to paint the mirror, I probably wouldnt remove the cables, but just wrap them in a paper bag and tape
no the engine was in a car hood closed had a oil leak (rust preventitive  ) intake, carb, full exhaust, etc... I'm still pulling the heads.... Oh and Just incase anyone is curious, this is in the bronco <--- not my 67, sorry but i like you guys better than my bronco boards :)
well we were using a soft face dead blow if that makes you feel better... the motor came from a yard and the counter jockey said it ran great :owned: we also belive this motor has a flat lobe on the cam... related? I have another set of 351W heads lying around, just swap those on then... yea...
any one have any helpful tips for freeing stuck valves in the car, heads on??
we tapped with a hammer and soaked with WD. they are starting to come a little loose but still are wide open...
this may sound crazy and dismiss it if you wish but at the ends of those two tunnels to the side, could you possibly fit a squirrel cage fan to aid pulling air through?? But assuming this is meant to be used at high speed.... why fan concern anyways??
