Upper Control Arm Movement

Can I leave the shaft bushing nuts alittle loose to make the arm move up and down easier?? Or is that a bad ideal??

doesnt TCP make an upper with better pivots?? hell just build your own with bearings there...

Dont panic guys. Its not the worst ideal I have tried...lol
The ones from TCP and Global West look more like roadracing stuff. I think I read where they do that negative wedge thing? This is a dragrace only car. The old control arms have the shaft nuts welded to the arms, so I cant get them off. I ordered new Drake arms to put back on it. They are just as tight as the old ones were. I am going to put it together with those for now. When I get time, I am going to try and cut the nuts off the old arms and see what I can come up with for bearing and see. I am open to ideals.....

The rubber seal is what's making the arms hard to move, not the nuts. Without the seal the arms move very smooth with no bind. I have put arms together without the seal and it works great for a track only car. Rain is a bad thing for upper shaft kits with no seal so it's not a good idea for a street car.

I wondered about how much the seal was involved in making it hard to move. I have never had one apart. But it looked like a metal to metal setup with just a seal. Cool. I will pull them apart and remove the seals. Put somekind of good grease in them and go that way. And this is a race only car. There is no way to drive it on the street and the cops leave me alone...
