    well C is the hole in the marker, B is the little notch, and A is the furthermost to the drivers side little triangle thing.

    look at the pic. I set my timing to 10 BTDC according to mark A. so is that right? truck still runs kinda bad when warmed up.

    I just put my 351w in my truck a few days ago and its still running like crap. Im suspecting a vacuum leak, computer issue, clogged cat, or timing issue. - Vacuum leak - I used Black RTV to make my upper intake gasket because summit sent me one for a 5.0. Is this asking for a vacuum leak...

    egr or not?

    yes i know this. my question is: I dont have air injection anymore since my smog pump is gone. So can i just take the exhaust gases out of that tube to run into the egr? Im going to try it today i think.

    but if it normally goes to the exhaust manifold, whats the difference of moving it "downstream" 2 feet or so? Won't the gases be the same?

    can you hook the egr up to anywhere in the exhaust tract? Im wondering this becuase i just put a 351w in my truck and on the 302 the egr went to the lower intake. and i guess on the 351w its supposed to go to the intake manifold. well i used my 302 shorty headers which have no mean to connect it...

    umm im pretty sure the kb makes a lot more heat than a cent. they make less heat than a roots type i htink thats what youre confusing it with. same deal with the horsepower used to turn the pulley.

    go to a different gas station. drive like an ass. seemed to work for me. going to mobil and driving like a grandma i was still only getting 17 average. i switched stations and now drive more spirited and it seems to be doing better. Well see though when the tank gets down to nothing.

    my 5.0 in my truck just crapped out on me a 160,000 i got the truck with 142,000. I think its from getting water in the cylinders. And the oil pump died on me. 302s under normal conditions can make it past 200,000 no prob.

    i think its just the datalogging feature. With the R/T it logs the data so you can go back and tune accordingly. Im not exactly sure though.

    my car is an 86 gt thats silver. The guy who had it before me stripped off all the paint (1 stage paint) and re-applied paint with a clearcoat. It looks really good and I like it alot it just needs some touchups here and there. There are tiny rust spots, small nicks, etc. I want to fix these...
