    PITA Starter Replacement.

    So I got the two bolts removed from the starter. But the damn thing is stuck on there and will not come off. I tried to hit it with a rubber mallet and extension, but it is not budging. I tried to pushing and pull, but it is stuck on there. What is the trick?

    I know on all my other vehicles, there is a loose part of the pedal, up top. There is no pressure for 1-2". This car has a FMS clutch and it is just solid up top, no freeplay. If there is supposed to be play, I would like to fix it so I dont kill my clutch.

    You need to get passed that traction issue friend, sounds like you have a beast on your hands. A 2.3 60' is REALLY bad.

    I could handle 2,750-2,800 rpm MAX, but 3k is a little scary for me, my Nissan V6 runs 3,000rpm at 75 mph, but I think it can handle it a little better. The gas difference might be the deal crusher. With 4:10s does it just get off the line quicker? and not effect the top end at all?

    How much more HP, do long tubes give you over shortys or any other? are long tubes definately always the way to go?

    I have buddys who have 4:10s in their old school camaros and chevelles, they say it is a drag racing gear. What rpm does a 4:10 gear turn on the highway at 75-80mph? I was thinking 3:73s, since it is close, but not as hardcore.
