    4 banger tranny in a 5.0?

    The 4 banger tranny DOES have smaller ratio gears in them that are great for racing applications. The input shaft is smaller than a 5.0 T5 tranny. It will work great for a while is what I have been told. But like any stock T5 tranny, it's a ticking timebomb.

    Motor mount Q

    The rubber is usually all cracked. I just rebuilt my motor. When I pulled the motor out, the mounts fell in two piece's. I went to O'Reilly and got the vert mounts. They're much lighter and were $10 a piece cheaper. Not near as much rubber on the vert mounts and I love them.

    Would ditching the flows have any SOTP feeling difference?

    I keep hearing Dynomax Ultra Flows are the way to go. They produce more CFM than Flows and are much quieter. I can't stand my 2 chamber flows and will chunk those POS after Christmas. I just got some 2 1/2 tips, so new muffs are next.

    I had a TriAx on my old 89 and my 97 Cobra. Loved it. I hear that Pro 5.0 and TriAx are the best.

    Okay. forget what I said about using a drimel & mallot. I just did one side. I had to use my 3" disk cutter and a body steel hammer. Turned out real nice. I cut about 1 1/2-2" and then hammered it in.

    I'm just going to use a drimel and cut the lip about every two inch's and then use a mallot to tap them up.

    Southside bars lower your car 1 1/2" because of the rear mounting brackets. I will be running stcks springs. I don't care about cornering, as I said "it will be a 10 second car". sirsureshot39-Thanks for your help :bang:

    Never ever go through the water before burnout. All that does is sling water up in your wheel whel and drips off, causing slipage. Drive around the water. Only do a 2-3 second burnout. Manuel shift, shift to second around 5400 and keep it in third till finish. Make sure timing is 14-15* Yor MPH...

    What are track rules on either NHRA or IHRA on where I can mount my cut off switch on a trunk mounted battery. I put it in the fuel door compartment, then afterward thought It might have to be visually seen. I have searched everywhere in google with no success. Please help. Thanks

    CSI Electric water pump question

    I want to order a CSI electric water pump for my 351W. When I looked at March's add in MM&FF they show that I will need an idler pulley to route the belt away from the water pump. I will only be running the belt from the crank to the alternator. What will I need and do I need an idler puller?
