    get the bauman shift, and an edge converter, fun times in the aod will be the result and it will def. hold up to your 300 hp car. your prolly looking around a 2800 to 3000 stall converter, get a nonlockup and that with the bauman shift kit will be a blast

    how much did that baby cost ya? i forgot all about the aluminum driveshaft from these vehicles. i remember when al. dS used to cost 149 from ford racing now they like 269 crazy, cost of aluminum must have went up.

    sounds like it s leaking outside the car, did you check the hose connections where the rubber hose connect to the metal core pipes poking through firewall into the engine bay? thats the first place i would look , i would think if the heater core itself was leaking that you would have some...

    why couldnt you use the aod in the 1/4 im confused by this, as there are thousands of people with stangs and aods who run in the quarter without running out of gear. Nobody used overdrive at the track.

    Honestly the best thing you can do is never shift into overdrive at WOT, it was never meant to be a racing gear, and even with a 2" band and A+++ servo, i would never do it nor recomend doing it. There is just no reason for it, whats overdrive like .667? shifting into overdrive would just slow...

    and when i said no matter what transission i meant auto wise, you never want to shift into overdrive with an auto. Even in a five speed you dont wanto to shift into overdrive

    Your gonna spend 1100 on the heads and another 500 or so on the intake, why dont you just go with the Holley systemax top end kit or the trickflow top end kit, this will give you everything you need and you wont have to piece together things and you will get the most power this way. prolly save...

    yeah in the article that you posted showing that it was for sale, the guy said it needed a new hood cuz the engine sat too high, so he hammered it to clear the engine, I was curious as to why he had to do this.

    The five lug is a conversion that he must have done or the previous owner, they all came 4 lug from the factory. So this was definaley changed over, but thats a good thing, thats one last thing you have to do lol. Check out the back brakes too see if they are disc or drum.

    launching problem!

    dude your probably better off just buying yourself a decent set of control arms first. That a all new control arm bushings should fix the problem. If not, then i guess you could put the quads on it, but instead of band aiding it like ford did, try the control arms first.

    First i would like to know why he had to bang the underside of the stock hood, denting it to make it clear the stock engine? IM very confused by this, unless he has a big spacer or something. And def. sell the stuff thats too big on the car and use it for more useful mods. The 30lbs injectors...
