    The air dams from the pictures are early and late 86. Very early 86's as well as all 85's had a variation of the air dam (seen on SaleenRanchIndy's cars) which resemble the 82 GT air dam.

    I think some of the early stuff is still a mystery quite frankly. My car (#46) is listed in the Saleen Book as being one of the first to receive the 86 ground effects but I have seen a few others that conflict with that a little. I think it was a matter of what they had on the shelf at the time...

    Hey Stangfan. Did you replace the body kit on that car? That early of a production number should have the 85 air dam on it but it has the 86. Looks damn sweet though!

    If memory serves, the early cars (except for 1984) started at the number 7 and they were known to skip a few numbers along the way.

    It's not on ebay, it's for sale locally at a mustang shop on a consignment deal. It's a super sharp car and it's tempting but I'd have to part with my 4 eye car to do it. Seeing as I'm kind of attached to Fox cars, I don't think I can do it! :D

    Yeah, it was a dealer installed option sold to the original owner (saw the paperwork). absolutely immaculate car to be sure but methinks a bit overpriced based upon what I am seeing. they are asking 25K.

    Yep, $35K. 5 months and $15k later it returns! LOL Still a bit steep IMO though considering that Mark at PAS just sold a prestine 86 hatch with extremely low miles for $15,500 on his website.
