    Start it in your driveway/garage.........run the shifter though every gear....for 10 seconds each......R,N.D.2.1. then back up 10 second each. Then check the level of the tranny (running in park). Check your vaumm modulator, make sure all your vacumm conections are good. Mike

    Have you checked the headgaskets or intake gaskets? Milkshake looking oil is a mix of coolant and oil. I would check the cheaper methods before you replace the block. Mike

    If youve never checked the condition of your outer axle bearings, I would now. If they are hard to spin, make weird noises when they spin....or any other abnormalities....I would replace them. Now is the time to check out the condition of the U joints as well, might as well freshen those up...

    Strength of 9 inch?

    Im running a 56 Farilane 9" with a stock cast center, 28 spliners and a full spool. Ive done about 20 passes on full slicks and nitrous (100 shot) off the line. Still holding up fine. :nice: Ive been told that the full spool adds alot more strength to the entire system... Mike

    Off pace tonight....and damage

    Finally got around to tearing it down, blown head gasket between the #3 and #4 cylinders.....the metal rings were twisted where the blow occured. New gaskets are in....just got done wrestling the headers in....tommorow awaits the rest of the top end.. thanks guys Mike

    Felpro head gaskets....most of the plugs so far look normal....the drive is about 1 hour....40-45 miles. I had my timing retarded to 8* initial.....The oil is fresh....Im going to drain it and see if there are any shavings....I have a compression guage soo ya....more delays. later
