    Why won't alternator gauge work?

Where exactly does the alternator gauge hook up? Could the problem be caused by the electronic voltage regulator?

    Why won't alternator gauge work?

I put a new battery in my car along with a new alternator and voltage regulator (original style). Immideatly the battery began to spray acid all over the engine compartment, so I replaced the voltage regulator with an electric one I had laying around. That stopped the battery from over charging...

    Rough Idle caused by electrical?

I already replaced the alternator.... it seems to be charging fine, although I might have it checked.

    Rough Idle caused by electrical?

I have been screwing with a 69 mustang with a 302 for some time. While idling the car bounces a lot and sounds like it has a slight miss. But while cruising the car runs well. I checked the plugs and wires (8.5mm) and cant find any problems. I advanced the timing at idle to 10 degrees BTDC, and...

what do do with you classic..poll!

it sits in the garage and appreciates in value, although..... demolition derby on the weekend with the 69 convertible.... hitting the ramp at 100 mph, jumping a dozen school buses and slamming into the ground at the other end.

glass packs good idea or not?????????

I put the turbo mufflers on a mustang a while back. They worked fine and had a deep sound, although I really wasn't paying attention to horsepower. As for the FMX, it might be able to handle the 500hp, but a C6 trans would probably be better. Mustangs didn't have 4 speed automatics, only three...

    move over Earl Scheib

I agree, all it needs is wet sanding and some rubbing compound. Then you can go to peb boys and buy a racing stripe and some plastic chrome wheel covers. Maybe even some dice for the mirror.

I am under 25 and have no garage. COLLECTOR INSURANCE?

Hagerty might work. They have restrictions but they never asked for the miles on my car. They also didn't specifiy how many miles I could drive or where I could drive it. They mostly don't want you using it as a daily driver. Your parents might be able to insure the car and add you as a driver...

    Battery for '69 mustang

Is a 24F-50 the right battery to get for a '69 mustang with the small block?

    Steel dash...not the pad

There is a junkyard in Phoenix called mustang motor works (http://mustangmotorworks.com/index.php). They might have a few junk '70 mustangs with all of the dash parts. The place tends to be a little expensive on some things and really cheap in others. You may also want to try desert valley auto...

Q: Remove rust from chrome wheels?

Some 36 grit sandpaper should take the rust off..... although I used chrome polish on my original mag 500s. I would test the inside of the wheel to see if the steel wool will scratch, but it should be fine. Use steel wool with the polish on the rust.

1969 Mustabg GT Convertible on e-bay

Wow, I feel rich... that makes my GT worth about $50,000. I saw that auction when it first started, and I would probably own the car right now if I wasn't 2,000 miles away. Considering the price of mustangs today, $4,000 really isn't a bad deal, especially considering the fact it was a GT and...

    1966 Fastback A code 4-speed worth?

Well, I offered the guy $6,000 cash and about $2,000 in car parts that he needs, and he took it. So altogether I only will only have about $7,000 in it. I didn't get a very good look at the car, so I may change my mind when I pick it up. Anyone think I may be paying too much?

Replacing seat foam: Economy foam any good?

I was told that the economy foam is fine for standard interiors for a 65-70 mustang. I don't know about the rest of the models. I do know that the economy foam is no good for a few different types of interiors. I used economy when I did a standard, and I used regular when I did a deluxe. Both...

    1966 Fastback A code 4-speed worth?

Yeah, I've seen a few projects going for at least 10k, so I think the $8,500 might not be to bad. I just can't believe a fastback project is worth 10k.

    1966 Fastback A code 4-speed worth?

No, I don't think they did. I didn't get a very good look at the car, but I noticed it doesn't have the fog lamps so i'm assuming it isn't a GT. The fender chrome was leaded in and the car had been somewhat hot rodded, so someone may have removed the GT equipment. Any ideas on value?

Keep ur fingers crossed for me ...

I have a '69 convertible GT. It's a great car and lots of fun. Hope everything works out for ya! I will agree that it's a little weird that the car has a C6 with a 351. I have an FMX, and I believe all 351's did as well. As for the dual exhaust, I think that all GT's had duals, and I know that...

    1966 Fastback A code 4-speed worth?

No pics, but it is an original A code car with a 4-speed. I checked the vin and it was silver w/ black standard interior. I'm almost positive it wasn't a GT. The car is a little rough and will need body work.
