You can run the engine without a belt on it, just not for very long. It might make it through a dyno run, but I'm pretty sure it would overheat if you tried a 1/4 mile without a belt.
Single Turbo = Single Downpipe = Single exhaust pipe. I'm guessing after he threw this thing together for the show (and I use the term "threw" lightly), that he just dumped the exhaust after a muffler. Unless Oink once again proves he is superman.

Like I said, the older style is way easier to make a home-made CAI out of, but you can use either one.

My bullet works fine. I run nitrous and it does not ping at all, even on 89 octane. The old style is actually easier to make a CAI out of because it does not have a flange.

When it happened to me, it was just a e-brake cable bracket rubbing the driveshaft. It was only sheetmetal, so I could easily bend it back with my hand. Just look at the driveshaft for the place where it's rubbing, you'll see a ring of bare or shiney metal.
