    Fuel Pump

The stock fuel pump on a cobra is 110lph. I changed mine to a 155lph before I put the heads and cam on and still don't have any problems. If there is any possiblity of NOS or a blower go with a 190lph or better.

Iron gt-40 heads, tfs-1 cam what valve springs?

120# springs should be good for that set up. What is the lift of the tfs cam? I think the stock gt-40 springs are 105#. I'm using 120# and my lift is about .580 with no valve float to 6100 rpm.

    1994 COBRA EEC-IV

I agree. Don't get a piggyback chip! If you make it into the 11s you'll need a roll bar. My goal is 12.00!

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

I just got the mass air meter from www.bieberfever.com about a month ago. I tech told me the car wouldn't run right if it were calibrated for 24 lb. After all my mods, I thought I would feel a difference by changing out the stock meter. It was a waste of $200. :notnice:

    Plugwire problem

I went through 2 sets of FRPP wires before I switched to LiveWires. Best wire on the market. It is too hard to keep the wires from touching something that gets hot. These wires are completely covered with heat sheething. Kinda pricey at about a $100.

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll try Finish Line or maybe ATR for a dyno. There's not alot of places around here that will dyno tune a ford. My mass air is calibrated for 19 lb injectors. I never thought of it before, but I might need more gear for the cam. Off the top of my head the...

Details on how to re-install stock lifter/roller rockers/

When I installed my roller rockers on the pedestal mount heads, I had to use shims. So, get a couple packs of shims for ford heads. Each pack has shims with three different thickness. I was told by the tech at D&D motorsports to bump the engine until the lifter was all the way down, shim the...

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

They are the stock injectors which are 24lbs. It's a Cobra. I guess it couldn't hurt to raise the fuel pressure. Does anyone dyno tune near chicago? I've heard of a place in Gary, but I don't know the name. Speed inc. told me they don't deal with 5.0 liter only 4.6

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

My slips are in the car which is not with me right now. The upper intake is the stock cobra intake.

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

My shift points are about 5700-5900 on the stock tac. I don't think I have a vacuum leak because the idle raises when I pull the line off to set the fuel pressure. Which is set at 43lbs. I go to Route 66 in Joliet.

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

I'd have to look for it. I made about 13 runs. My timing is at 13 degrees @ WOT. How much more could I advance it with the aluminum heads? I aways said I would keep the car NA, but I'm about ready to put it on the bottle. :(

Ton's of mods = bad track time?

My mods are listed below. I went to the track twice in the past month. Both with dissapointing results. The best time I could pull was 13.7 @102 and my best 60' time was a 1.9. The car launches hard, right away the notto's grab, and it bogs down bad. My top end feels weeker than I think it...
