Ton's of mods = bad track time?

My mods are listed below. I went to the track twice in the past month. Both with dissapointing results. The best time I could pull was 13.7 @102 and my best 60' time was a 1.9. The car launches hard, right away the notto's grab, and it bogs down bad. My top end feels weeker than I think it should be with my given mods. Is my trottle body too small? The plugs look good when I checked them. Any ideas?

I'd have to look for it. I made about 13 runs. My timing is at 13 degrees @ WOT. How much more could I advance it with the aluminum heads? I aways said I would keep the car NA, but I'm about ready to put it on the bottle. :(

If it's not running right.... the bottle will definately FIND or CREATE a problem... but it'll be an expensive route.

Have you let anyone else run your car down the track? Find a buddy that is running good times in his and let him take a couple runs to see if it's you or the car. What are your shift points?

My shift points are about 5700-5900 on the stock tac. I don't think I have a vacuum leak because the idle raises when I pull the line off to set the fuel pressure. Which is set at 43lbs. I go to Route 66 in Joliet.

i dont think you have enough fuel im looking to add head and you should get 24's or up the FP to 50+ w/o vaccum, a few people said if you keep 19's up the pressure.

Sorry if you have 24's i dont see them in your list.

They are the stock injectors which are 24lbs. It's a Cobra. I guess it couldn't hurt to raise the fuel pressure. Does anyone dyno tune near chicago? I've heard of a place in Gary, but I don't know the name. Speed inc. told me they don't deal with 5.0 liter only 4.6

What are the stats on your JMS chip? Did they tell you to set the fuel pressure and timing at those points?

For my JMS chip I had to set fp at 39 psi and timing at 10 degrees.

YOu may want to try shifting a little bit higher. How about your clutch? Could that be slipping between shifts?

Yeah I have been to Speed Inc. for my heads and cam and they told me a chip wouln't help me at all. However, all my buddies who have a chip are running more rwhp then me. Speed Inc. also frauds there dyno sheets. I saw to people with the exact same pulls. they both own ls1 T/As but no one should have the exact dyno pull. My suggestion like I am doing is gettting a P.M.S from anderson. They are helpful and friendly and it makes your car run like "wow".

This is definetly true; nos will make it show its ugly face if you are having issues and it's sounds to me that you are. You should have much better et's and 60ft. times. Good luck dude,
