    Pontiac Solstice

The Solstice is a beauty, and nice handler, and the manual-only is a positive, but the $5k premium over MSRP currently being charged boosts the price to $30K. Also, no trunk space, so couldn't travel like we now do with the Z3. Since the handling isn't quite up to the Z3 either, no way I'd...

Anyone have experience with feline leukemia?

Sorry to hear about your cat. I lost an extremely affectionate cat to FL after a valiant year-long battle. Her brother lived in the same house, but we lost him to encephalitis before Kismet got sick, so don't know about multiple cats. I understand the vaccine is extremely effective, so I...

    E2 kit photo

The "Ronster" kit is NOT for convertibles. It makes a roadster or convertible out of a notchback. Will not work on convertibles, as the windshield is different.

    Ron Morris EFI mounting bracket

I have the Ron Morris bracket on my '65. It mounted the computer up above the radio, between the wiper arms. Sad to hear it is no longer available. You should be able to fabricate a plate to mount it there, especially if you have the o/e plastic computer mount. Another option would be to...

Buyers beware! Don't deal with Coastal50

That would be "<b>Spartanburg</b>, South Carolina" Only one "s", at the beginning. Near where they make Z-3s and Z-4s. :o)

Any of you seen the new Camaro concepts floating around ?

It has the styling cues, nobody has to guess what it is, but still a thoroughly modern looking car. Especially with the huge rear. The resemblance is greater in the front. I like it, don't get me wrong.

    Finally got my '65...

Nice car. You done good! 289 4v with a 3-speed wasn't an unusual combination, especially for an air-conditioned car. Most folks thought the 4-speed was just for all-out speed freaks. (I don't agree, but then I'm just one person....)

    Memeber poll

I've owned two 65s. Bought one in April 64, the other in summer 67. Still have the second one, and she is almost finished complete rebuild. So actually, none of the poll questions fit. It's almost finished mechanically, and looks great in primer right now.... :o)

Any of you seen the new Camaro concepts floating around ?

I disagree that the current Mustang looks like late 60s. It looks thoroughly modern to me - but obviously a descendant of the original. Like a pretty girl that looks like her grandma!! I sill like the wider, lower, longer look of the original - and that's why I still have one.

Any of you seen the new Camaro concepts floating around ?

That first Camaro - obviously photoshopped - is UGGGGG--LEEEEE!!! I'd never trade my Formula for one......., heck I wouldn't trade a good Honda for one!! The second one, the black one - not bad!

    Question for 64.5 experts!

degins is right, there was no 289 2v in early 65 (aka 64 1/2). Except that the 289 HiPo came out in the summer of 64, before the introduction of the rest of the 65s. I never saw an early v-8 with that label on a Mustang. Sure it's not a swap? Knowing the VIN would help answer your question.

How to replace 65-66 trunk lock?

Actually, that's what I tried earlier. No help. Maybe I should use a punch to tap the button in. It has been in there 40 years, of course.

    torque thrust d wheels

I have the 15x7 on my '65 conv. My rear is a Grenada (a bit wider than stock) with Seville brakes - no problems.

How to replace 65-66 trunk lock?

I have a new bezel for the trunk of my '65, but can't figure out how to get the lock cylinder out and put it in the new one. There is a button that I figure needs to be depressed, but it won't move. Any help here?

? for 06 owners Re: Gas Cap and BP Branding

I just find it interesting that Ford (as American as it gets) is recommending gas from British Petroleum (that is what BP stands for, you know). Just in case you're wondering, BP is my own favorite gas, just as Amoco was in '65 when I ran high octane unleaded in my 289 4v 4-speed....

    2005 mustang gt convertable pics

Oh, Geeezzee!!! I was gonna pass on a new one - and be content with my '65 - but that convertible is just so darned good-lookin' I may just wind up with TWO Mustang converts...... And that's a lotta bucks!!

    Benefits of Independent Rear Suspension

Excellent points. For simplicity, if you're not drag racing, IRS gives a better ride and handling - lots better. Most people who don't know what IRS is vs. live axle will just say "It rides and handles better." Proof of the pudding - go find a curved road that has railroad tracks in the...

    mustang vs camaro

Dunno, but it is true that the first Mustang (the roadster with V-4) did not use the horse logo.

    mustang vs camaro

I read once that the original Mustang was named after the airplane (P-51), not the horse. However, they have used the horse logo since the '63, so I have my doubts. Interesting thought, though.

Best Looking Rims on '05 to Date!!!

I think he is serious. It looks just goofy, like they never learned to write. There's nothing wrong with correct spelling and pronunciation.
