    Eaton Differential Case Made overseas!

This is a pretty dumb thread. You think every part on your car is made in the USA? Yeah right. EVERY car made has SOME level of foreign content. Ford's biggest shock supplier is a Japanese company. In today's global economy, saying a car is American or Japanese doesn't mean as much as it...

    car times slower after mods

Those huge tires are slowing you down significantly. Your car isn't fast enough to need tires that size (no offense, but it isn't), all it is is extra weight.

New Stang vs top Ricer Cars

I love all the people in this thread saying how the comparison isn't fair because the EVO has a turbo, or you get to add $5K in mods to the mustang to make up the price difference. Funny how just 2 years ago when the 03 Cobra's came out the LS1 guys were saying the same thing and we were...

Can I get my steering wheel recovered?

The only color that the FR500 wheel is available in is 99+ dark graphite (not black, 99+ Mustang's never had black interior). You have a few options: 1. Buy a new stock wheel from your service department (last time I checked they were $399) 2. Ditch your airbag, horn, and cruise control...

    Nitrous or Supercharger?

From my experience, I wouldn't call either of them safe. A good tuner can make either work well, but our internals are just too weak for me to feel comfortable with either.

96 gt blower on my 98 gt will it fit?

It will fit fine. 98's are return-style, returnless was 99+. The fuel rail doesn't make any difference, you might have to extend a vacuum line to reach the regulator, but that's easy to do. That being said, I've never heard good things about powerdyne blowers. Are they even in business...

    Nitrous or Supercharger?

My buddy is up to $2300 and he doesn't have any guages or a purge. That does include a flip chip and dyno time for an N/A and spray tune, which isn't cheap. Add another few hundred for gauges and a purge kit + install, then $30-40 to fill the bottle everytime. Nitrous CAN be cheap, but it's...

    Nitrous or Supercharger?

I have a 98GT with 02GT engine pushing 11lbs of boost with an S-trim and LT headers. My neighbor has a 2000GT with all the bolt-on’s but stock headers running an NX 100shot. I have 3.73 and he has 3.27. We both have Autologic chips tuned by the same person on the same Mustang Dyno: ME...

2 05 Silver GT's spotted in South Florida!!

H'e probably giving the finger because when you are driving mules, every other jackass on the road is hanging out their window snapping pics with their digital camera. Then when the pics end up on the internet, the guy's coworkers never let him hear the end of it. It gets old.

    Superchargers!

An aftermarket part WILL void your warranty for anything that breaks as a direct result of the aftermarket part. In the case of a supercharger, the dealer will argue that you've essentially doubled the horsepower and torque of the engine, and that the engine, transmission, rear end, and who...

    Tokiko struts/shocks

It's normal. Tokico does not sell the Mach 1 or Bullitt shocks/struts through their normal aftermarket distribution channels. The only place you can get them is through Ford service or other ford service parts authorized dealer. They will be in a Ford bax with a ford part number just like any...

1998 Mustang won't start after hybernation

Will it turn over if you press the throttle, but not at idle? If so, it's your idle air control valve. You'll need to replace it, it's about $120 from Ford or you could get it from Fordpartsnetwork.com for a bit cheaper.

any gains from STEEDA Stage1 rotatin assembly?

A rotating assemblky can add power in two ways: 1. Raise compression. If you raise compression, you are severly limiting yourself if you want to go F/I later on. 2. Forged crank to allow higher RPM. In this case, you need the heads, intake, cams, and valvetrain to support the increased...

    just finished vortech v1 install

Oh yeah, I was going to say that too . . . 6600 rpm is too high to spin a stock 2V. My rev limiter is at 6250, but I've never taken it over 6000.

    just finished vortech v1 install

I got my V-1 from Muscle Motors too . . . they have pretty good deals. I have a similar set-up to you and mine sounds the same way. I'm not a big fan on the sound, especially compared to my old roots blower. The power is nice though . . . What pulley did they ship you with your kit? Mine...

When are we all going to see the new 2006 Cobra Mustang Concept Vehicle?

My guess is that we'll hear/see more about the 06 Cobra around the time that the GT goes on sale this fall. There won't be any concept version.

when to replace springs and shocks

Springs should last the life of the car. For shocks, it depends on how/where the car is driven. They can last anywhere between 30,000 - 70,000 miles. Unless yours are leaking, they are probably fine at 26,000.

    T&J Performance.....no ticket!!!!!

Great numbers for the SVO. The car probably pulls like a freight train . . . I loved mine when I had it.

i need ur criticism and sum driving tips!!

I don't think your engine cares if you know what you are doing or not. Stay off the rev limiter. To the original poster . . . Your spelling makes you look stupid. The first thing people do when they read a post like yours is roll their eyes. Nobody wants to waste their time trying to...
