my first impression was that the v1 is too loud what a high pitched sound also kind of slight chattery sound , is this normal ? It's like there something wrong intill your on your way then it sound is pretty cool. I bought a tuner kit from muscle motors added a steeda boost pipe 42lb injectors 225 lph walbro pump custom chip fom jms chips also ngk tr-6 plugs gapped to .028 still running stock maf . I got this all for $ 3200.00. The car idles fine and there seems to be no detenation. Also the car is a good bit quicker but I thought is would seem faster. the chip said the idle was raised slightly ,6600 rpm limiter, fans on @ 185, removed speed limiters ,total timing set to 17 * and wide open throttle fuel 9% richer than stock. Could some one tell me if this a very agressive tune. Of coures I'am planning a dyno tune soon possible

The sound of the V1 is normal and your tune is rich like all mail order chips. Once you get your dyno tune those numbers will most likely go out the window and your car will be tuned specifically for your combination so don't worry just yet.

First, I love the sound of the V-1. It was (and still is) music to my ears. The whistle and small sounds you're hearing are normal. At idle it'll sound like rocks crumbling. No one will mistake your car for stock (the whistle; not the rock crumbling sound).

As for it not feeling as fast as you thought, that's probably a function of your gearing (I'm assuming you're running stock gears - signature). It's taking forever to get your car into boost. Get some 3.73s or 4.10s and you'll be singing a different song.

That's a pretty good deal on the Vortech dude! I would say the sound is normal and as a matter of fact I like it. Just wait till you see the face of a ricer at a stop light when he hears the whine of your new supercharger.

I got my V-1 from Muscle Motors too . . . they have pretty good deals. I have a similar set-up to you and mine sounds the same way. I'm not a big fan on the sound, especially compared to my old roots blower. The power is nice though . . .

What pulley did they ship you with your kit? Mine came with a 3.33".

if you have the stock heads and stock bottom end, you better get that rpm limiter back down to stock. our stock GT motors don't like that much rpm.

Oh yeah, I was going to say that too . . . 6600 rpm is too high to spin a stock 2V. My rev limiter is at 6250, but I've never taken it over 6000.

I'am running the 3.6" pulley. One of the wires was broken basically the maf was not not connected when I went to the car wash and was ready to leave the car would idle but if you tried to give it any throttle it would try to cut out but when I wiggled the maf lead it started acting right and it was under powered before that problem started . I also noticed the maf connection was a little loose fixed both and of course there was a huge difference.

when are you getting yours dyno tuned , im leaving tonight to drive to T&Js in GA in the morning to do mine , I will post my numbers on here tuesday , I was looking at that same kit but got my SQ through dallas mustang for 3140 , I am wondering how mine and your numbers will stack up against each other . I am running vortechs chip right now from superchips and I am wondering just how rich it is running especially at operating temp , feels kinda sluggish versus when its half warmed up .
