    cam question

    Mine does this exact same thing...seems like I have to keep my foot on it until it warms up then all is fine. I usually let it warm for about 15 seconds and then take it out driving...it warms up faster that way. But yeah...when its cold, it can be a real bear to idle and such.

    275/40/17's out back 245/45/17 up front???

    You'll have no problems whatsoever. I run 245/45/17 Nitto 555's up front and 275/40/17 Nitto 555R's (Drag Radials) out back. Been this way for a few years and never had any problems, even in the rain.

    HCI guys step in

    My car shakes like a MOFO....I can literally watch the whole motor shift back and forth when idleing in the engine bay. It is noticable in the car too. I was told this is normal from the cam from several friends with 5.0's who have cams.

    cleaning 80mm Pro-M air filter

    Ummm...my Pro-M 77 MAF has a K&N filter and I used the recharge kit to clean it and used that oil stuff. I sure hope that was ok.

    OK...I'm not trying to flame you here as I believe there is some very good weight reduction ideas in your post, but some of your weights are off. For instance: Man...I sure hope you're not referring to these: I too had "heard" that by removing these you could save 5lbs or so...

    DAMN!!! Stupid stang!

    Ditto...mine was doing this same thing and produced a loud and ugly metallic knocking sound. It should go away once you start driving and the engine smooths out though...at idle there is a lot of shaking and thus where it is hitting.

    Had mine in before and after the Heads/Cam...no problems whatsoever. What were they saying in the Power Adder forum? BTW...I have the GSS340, which is the high-pressure one, and even though I'm Naturally Aspirated, still no problems.
