    AFR guys, which ones???

I've heard of 55cc AFR 165's....in fact, I have a set :D Of course, you can't exactly "buy" them like this, but now you can say you've at least heard of them ;)

    Got the car dyno'ed today...

Well then...that goes against everything I've ever heard and been told my dyno operators and people who know. Why then, do 95% of all dyno's give the number out in SAE I ask? By the way...if I remember correctly, my STD numbers were 31xrwhp/34xrwtq...but I threw those out because they are...

    Got the car dyno'ed today...

What's up with even listing STD numbers? I was always told SAE are the real numbers since they bring all numbers onto the same level. Wouldn't be fair if you dyno'd your car is death valley (232ft. below sea level) in the middle of the night with 35 degree temps would it??? Just a question.

    Got the car dyno'ed today...

Sweet numbers Jake! Congrats as I know you put a lot of hard work into it. Now...does this mean if I get my lower ported and go with a TwEECer, I might be seeing numbers like those??? After all...we almost have identical cams ;) Honestly though, I think those numbers are too far...

Do I need to re-torque again?

No...I didn't re-torque. Are you supposed to...or at least check? Yes. But like I said, I didn't. Call me lazy...maybe lucky so far ;)

Do I need to re-torque again?

Dale, The shaking is the VERY first thing I noticed after I got my H/C/I swap complete. The engine was violently shaking back and forth in the bay, I thought it was either going to tear itself out of the motor mounts or start dancing! Three of my buddies standing there were just laughing...

    Another AFR/FTI/Edelbrock Bandwagon Jumper...*DUW*

Jake...congrats on getting the install complete. I know how it can seem pretty intimidating, but now that you got it under your belt, that confidence only gets better. I'll be pretty interested to see your dyno and track results....wonder if you can better my times from my first time out :)...

    HCI complete Car wont idle?

Wrong. I have a very similar combo as you and guess what? My car didn't want to idle at first either. Everyone was shouting "You NEED a tune...get a chip or a TwEECer etc..." Well...4 months later it idles great, doesn't die, and has great driveability manners. Did I get a tune or a...

    rel3rd why?

Why are you selling it? I have always thought your car was done "right", both in the modifications and the appearance departments. Well thought out with great results. Hate to see it go, but hope it ends up in somebodys hands who appreciates it and will treat it right :)

Easiest way to check fuel pressure?

You are removing the schrader valve beforehand, correct?

anyone know where to get a belt between 89.0 and 89.5 inches?

They don't make one...at least I couldn't find one and I searched forever. 89.5" was too long for me...I ended up using the 88 7/8" and making it fit. It WILL stretch, and I had to pre-stretch it and use A LOT of muscle to get it on the first time. Since its been on, its stretched even more...

new engine break-in initial fire = SPOUT out?

Instead of worrying so much about every little setting in the EEC...why don't you just drive the thing for a little while and get used to it. THEN do your tuning and tweeking off of that to fix the little things. I honestly think you're drive yourself crazy trying to control every setting...

Finally! AFR/FTI Dyno AND Track Results are In

Ok Tom...so what are you thinking here? I would be interested in keeping the Cobra if I knew it could match the performance of a Edel Performer. How much are we talking for one of your port jobs? PM me if you like. I think the key to my times is the fact that it makes over 300rwtq from...

Finally! AFR/FTI Dyno AND Track Results are In

Thanks everyone. mytight95: The idle with the FTI cam is what you make of it. If you want it to idle low and sound nasty (which it does), then you have to deal with some surging and dying due to loss of vacuum etc... Easy solution, which I did for awhile, is bump up the idle to 900rpm and...

Finally! AFR/FTI Dyno AND Track Results are In

Thanks Paul! Your car is probably the main reason I went the AFR/FTI route, so I should probably direct some of the credit towards you. I KNOW there is more in it, that's what makes the times such a bonus...I really didn't expect to hit these until the end of the year.

Finally! AFR/FTI Dyno AND Track Results are In

Good weekend…got my car on the dyno Friday night and then took it to the race track Saturday as the weather held out for once. This was a long time coming as I did the heads/cam back in early March and have wanted to get numbers for it since that time. Before I get into the Dyno figures and...

turn the key, only hear a click!

    1) Check your Grounds 2) Check your Starter...both power and ground etc...Make sure bolts are tight. Had the same thing happen, turned out to be both of them, this was less than 2 months ago.
