    I am looking at the same thing but with a supercharger. I called AFR and asked if the 185's would fit on my 88 and he said not to try it unless I fly cut them. I'm just going to go with the 165's or twisted wedges. I'm think there is a way to cut them in the cylinder so someone that has do it...

    Well you have not posted again so maybe your done with it but I went with the Powermaster alt and it was EZ. It fits right in and has 140 amps.

    I called tremec and they said it was the TKO 500. I ordered the one for 3650 because that is the one I thought I had. On the summit web site they do not say what it is just that it is from the cobra R. Mine has the red top on it.

    The shifter is for the 3650 and only has 4 bolts that go into the transmission and mine needs 6

    I was trying to install my MGW shifter and it's not the right one. The shifter is a 3650 and I have a TKO 500 transmission. I asked on here what the 95 cobra R transmission was (the one I have) and someone said it was the 3550 but its not. Now my car is all apart till I get another one:nonono:

    Do the cam when you get the cash for the heads. There is some other stuff you should do if your completely stock. Like gears and sfc if you like. Search the threads and good luck.

    I thing I will do the same thing not do the H/C and just the supercharger. It is like more HP for less money and if it is not powerful enough then when I get more money the H/C will go on.
