    How to check out a used tranny

    As the title states, I need to find a way to inspect or check out a used straight drive. I'm trying to buy a T5 tranny for my 66 stang but I have no idea how to know if it's in good shape. Some one clue me in on how to inspect a used tranny that is not in the car. Thanks!!

    You've got to bend the bumper pretty good to get them out. Get someone to help you and make the bend as gradual as possible so as not to egg shell your paint on the front bumper. Don't worry, you can do it!:D

    Finally got my '65...

    Looks good! I really like it. Even a great color. I would change the wheels out to some classic style Torq Thrusts. Then get a 5 speed in there. I would love to have one just like for a daily driver. What's the underside look like? found any rust? Great job...Congrats!:nice:
