Looks like Unique Performance is going under...

:nice: Another reason I'm building my 3-option-worth-nothing-to-anyone-but-me-69-coupe the way I am.

looking for a cool Mustang key chain/fob. Any ideas?

I made one out of a military style dog tag. I painted the dog tag black. I then took a mustang emblem tie tack/hat pin that had a 69 at the bottom of a running horse over the tri-bar. I cut the post off and filed down the nub. I used automotive "Goop" to glue it to the dog tag and used the short...

    quick paint question

Clear coat is not a given. If your car has original paint, it's not clearcoat, it's enamel only. If its been repainted, maybe it is and maybe its not clearcoat paint. As for the rest of your questions, its hard to tell whats going on without some decent pictures.

Need help decoding label plate on door

I can't decode it off the top of my head. There might be some links to a decoding page somewhere on here. Use search to try and find it. I know there's several on the net.

    MIG Welder

I got a Hobart 140 last spring and love it. I got it at a local welding supplier for around 450. I used to fabricate at a previous job so I already had a lot of the extra accessories. I do need to finish my cart for it though since I have to get it out of the shed and carry it to the driveway to...

    69 mustang with bench seat

I was out junkyarding yesterday looking for a relay module for my ZX2. In one of the yards that let me walk through I spied a 69 mustang sitting in a back corner of the yard. Naturally I had to check it out. I wish I had some paper and pen to write down the numbers and of course I didn't have a...

"Paint your car for 50 bucks" I am going to try it.

I would compare it to any factory paint job or your typical repair job. In my experience you can achieve a better quality paint job with this method than most repair shops put out daily. There are shops that put out very high quality repairs but those are usually very expensive and insurance...

Re: The crashed mustang in S Carolina

I thought it apropriate not to clog the heidts thread with this. It was definately not a low speed hit. Just speculating, but it looks like the taurus hit and went under the rear of the stang a little probably rupturing the tank. Hard to tell the condition of the stang before the accident. Looks...

"Paint your car for 50 bucks" I am going to try it.

My understanding is it should work fine but the quantity of spray bombs is something to consider. A good source for info on the subject is the 3 original threads on moparts.com. There's some links on there to some summary pages some of the guys there have created for this. I don't have the links...

    school me on cutting springs...

There's a similar thread over on teamZX2.com and its amazing how different the opinions are on this subject. I check in over there on occasion as my daily driver is a 2000 ZX2. The mentality over there is its a sin to cut coils. They're more of a "tuner" crowd there. I have no problem with doing...

    Why won't my wheels fit?

I saw an ad (I think for RRS) yesterday in the latest issue of M&F that showed that it used a late model front spindle.

Cervinis is indeed taking early Mustang parts requests....

I'm going to email them. I'd like 69 headlight extensions. I think it would be a good product due to the the number of good used ones available. Maier Racing makes them but they're $400+ a pair. I've talked with VFN, they have a one-piece nose for 69s and headlight extensions for 70s. They...

    Hurst Shifter Issues

It sounds like you're trying to install the clips upside-down. The loop of the clip holds tension on the link & pin of the rod. You should have to overcome the tension of the clip to get the straight leg of the clip in the hole of the pin. I've never had a problem with mine. I also have the...

    Never seen this

+ your experience That explains a lot. I had a friend who had a similar experience with a GM dealership over his new chevy pickup back in the mid 80s. He had to go above the regional manager to get the problems resolved after several letters to GM HQ. What you have to realize is all auto...

You're right, but its still annoying. Back on topic. Remind me to never have anything done by this professional. Like brianj5600 said, missing welds.
