    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

Got the Pypes axle back and they look pretty good. Actually they look like very good quality pipes and tips. Took the stock mufflers off, slipped the pypes on loosely and got a game plan of how to make the tips line up correctly. The driver's side didn't look too bad (little low) so I figured...

Electric fan will not turn on

Is there more than 1 temperature sensor? There might be one for the guage and one for the fan relay.

    Clear bra installation questions

If it's a base stereo then it most likely doesn't have the hardware. If there's not an antenna on the trunk then you need some hardware.

    Engineering whiz question.?!

Coat hanger with a small magnet taped to the end worked fine, but it took a little while to get 4 bolts and 4 washers. Didn't think about a bike rack. I guess that would be a good idea vs some kind of trunk mounted cattle catcher. Thanks for the ideas.

    Engineering whiz question.?!

Here's the problem I'm having. My latest car (2008 GT/CS) came with an aftermarket trailer hitch installed. I know, what would you want to pull with a Mustang. Anyway, I removed it while removing the axleback to install the new ones and I need to get the bolts out of the frame rail. A web...

New Cobra owner, some small issues

96-98 Cobras have IMRC plates that open around 3300 rpm. The transition should be smooth or even a boost in power. If there's a hesitation they might not be opening properly. Reach behind each cylinder head, up against the firewall, and see if the cables are attached and if the IMRC shaft...

Thanks for all the info. I think the violator is at the top of my list right now.

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

Thanks for the info. You wouldn't happen to have a cutaway picture of a violator would you? Also, the Pypes website states the Race Pro is the quietest, hmm. All I want is an axle back that has a nice sound, kinda loud at high throttle, and no drone on highway trips. Is that asking too much...

    Pypes Violator Mufflers?? turbo?

Are the Pypes Violator axle back mufflers turbo or chambered? American Muscle has them listed as chambered and Summit has them as turbo. I need to order some mufflers ASAP, this stock exhaust is getting on my nerves. It's doo damn quiet.

    Cabin Filter Question!

Sparta, Don't remember what brand it was, it was a mid grade from RockAuto. Like I said in the OP there were no arrows indicating flow direction. The "ears" that fold back when installing it were the exact opposite in relation to the last fold of the pleats compared to the stock Ford one that...

    New Mustang owner, few questions.

Lock, I think you're playing dumb here brother. There is so much about that car that's not legal. Maybe!! Maybe,,, the window tint is legal in Florida but not the head lights and tail lights. It's stupid to tint either in my opinion. If you're an officer of the law you should know that...

    Cabin Filter Question!

The filter can go in to the frame either direction. It's not self-evident.

    Cabin Filter Question!

I purchased a new cabin filter for my 08 and the darn thing doesn't have any arrows on it designating flow direction. Any filter I've ever installed, be it auto, home, RV, whatever, it always had a direction marked on it if the filter could be reversed. Does it really make a difference? Maybe...

    Lowering My GT

You can cut the spring and lower it but it'll ride like crap. Get a set of quality springs, CC plates, and bumpsteer kit if you lower it more than an inch. Factory struts sill work in most cases. Personally, I love lowered cars, but it has to be done right and not TOO low. My Cobra had a...

    Just bought a 97 GT

+1 on school ! If it only has 120,000 miles then you're looking pretty good. If tires and brakes are good then exhaust is the most fun/noticable mod you can do on a budget. Not to mention exhaust is fun once you get it installed, LOL. Tint the windows, wax it up, and have fun.

Do you recommend the 2012 Boss 302 for a daily driven car?

If I didn't know where I'd be living in the next year I wouldn't buy a $40k toy, especially if you don't even know how stiff a clutch pedal can be. Just my opinion :p

    weird sound after header install???

+3 on the leak. Thin wall "toobular" headers sound great, but if you have a leak anything sounds like crap. Take it back to the shop. I'll bet they left out a bolt that was hard to get to.

    p1443 evap code...new 255l/hr fuel pump

"cut a acces hole that is ever nice from now on out to ever have service it again" That's interesting..... If all the lines are sealed up then it's most likely the purge valve or the pressure switch. They should be located by the firewall on the passenger side near the AC accumulator.
