If you have done a PI intake swap (NIP heads) pleeeeze help me!!!!!!!!

good to here everything worked out. I would expect about a .2 improvement. Are you running the stock thermostat ? I just installed a 180 deg. stat, car ran cool before but a few degrees cooler may allows a few more degrees in the timing. keep us informed on your track results.

If you have done a PI intake swap (NIP heads) pleeeeze help me!!!!!!!!

supercharger is in. 9 pounds max. @6000rpm plates and gaskets are holding up. Now its time for more dyno tuning. I may need new injectors if the 19lb's are maxed out. car pull strong-feels like a bigger motor. I will take some pics and post on web site www.unitedmajority.com and here

    Clearance issues with Xpipe install

how about motor mount. You did say pass. side usually its the drivers side with the problem but its still a possibility. Look at the front bottom of the engine at the oil pan and compare the space between the steering rack and pan if the motor is sitting to one side the mounts are shot.

    4.6L vs LT1/LS1

I doubt that I am typical vette owner. I am not bashing (avatar)chevrolet because I have a vette, that bull**. The camaro and vette LS1 engines are mostly identical. don't tell that to most vette owners. the differences are usually external like air filter. The avatar is because my son and...

If you have done a PI intake swap (NIP heads) pleeeeze help me!!!!!!!!

well I will post my results. I should install the vortech this weekend. I don't see how the gaskets could move. the plates are very strong t6 alum. I did this so there would be no flex in them. The gaskets are reinforced and should not move.

    Cutting Springs

a general rule is cut off 1/2 the height on the spring as you want to lower the car. You must use a cut off wheel; as mentioned-no torch, that will wreck the spring. I prefer progessive springs for a street car over cut anyway.

    Need plug help !!

I thought that there is one year or part of a year with a short threaded plug as you mentioned. I would confirm that the NGK plug is right for your car.

    4.6L vs LT1/LS1

I have both LS1 and 4.6l Gt. I am at 450hp in the ls1 with heads, cam and headers (6 speed 2003 vette~3400lb). The 4.6l needs a supercharger and exhaust to come close to 350-400hp and it still weighs more. Both mods cost about the same. The 4.6l and the LS1 are good designs. You have to go...

How many miles after using Seafoam do you change you oil?

its purpose is to remove carbon deposits. I would not think that every oil change would be ness., maybe every 20 to 30thou miles.

If you have done a PI intake swap (NIP heads) pleeeeze help me!!!!!!!!

I had the x-pipe w-cats on my car before the manifold swap. so if your car has stock exhaust I don't know if it will be the same as my car. when I had the car tuned I expected it to be lean. The first run showed that the car was rich. 11-1 air to fuel ratio. thats not what the tuner or I...

How many miles after using Seafoam do you change you oil?

It should tell you right on the can. If you are running a 1/2 can into the manifold for a top cyl. cleaning I think you change the oil after the final start up. ex. running hot engine, pour 1/2 can in vacuum line slow, keep engine rpm up around 2000-3500 as you pour. let engine idle and stall...

If you have done a PI intake swap (NIP heads) pleeeeze help me!!!!!!!!

I don't expect a problem. I was just listing the next mod. I know some were interested in how plates would work with pressure. The plates are made of t6 alum., it is one of the strongest. I did not want the plate to flex between the gaskets. It was layed out in a CAD file then you download...

If you have done a PI intake swap (NIP heads) pleeeeze help me!!!!!!!!

I only have about ten sets left. That will be the end of adapter plates. For those that had to tap the coolant crossover I found a place you can order a tap on the internet $7.50 + shipping. I will add this to my site. I did buy a used vortech supercharger that will be installed on the...

    98 Mustang GT upgrades

thats fwhp not rwhp. removing 6 cats and using 2 high flow cats was a big change. most people go for the cat-back, I did not. The manifold is good for 25hp. The non PI heads are not as bad as the non-PI manifold. I did not want to do a head swap and after seeing a flow comparison between pi...

    fuel pump question, t-rex vortech

they are used on those cars. this pump was used with the FMU. it will boost flow. The FMU would restrict the return path back to the tank, this raised pressure.

    98 Mustang GT upgrades

I did gears, catted x-pipe then a PI manifold for 255hp and 311tq. will fun with a stock 99 up. 3.90 diff with a 5 spd. is nice. The PI manifold adds more usable RPM's & HP. the x-pipe added sound and torque.
