    Starter help ( not a mustang )

    You can execute a rolling start with a manual transmission (Not sure if this would work on an auto). Turn the key to on and get the car rolling like 5 mph or so, like down a hill or something, put her in first and dump the clutch. She'll fire right up, at least assuming the starter really is...

    Are there any LT's....

    I have Hookers and the transmission comes out fine. Can't say I'm a big fan of the slip joints on the driver's side header. They leak a little and it's nearly impossible to completely seal them up. I'll probably get Kooks next time.

    I have had those same axles for a year now and I do 1.71 60-foots on 12-inch slicks. Never had any trouble.

    Rear End Problem???

    I had a couple bolts back out on my 4.10s once. Still not sure why, but it never caused a problem. With 69,000 miles, I would consider rebuilding or upgrading the diff, but I would make sure someone experienced does it. Those things can be finicky.

    After we got it on the dyno, Archie decided it did not need a new MAF or injectors. There was no fuel pressure spike which would indicate the injectors weren't keeping up. The car pulled 308 RWHP and 323 ft/lbs torque.

    Fox Lake Stage II or Ported Stock Heads

    I just put Fox Lake Stage 2s on my car last week (already had VT stage 2 cams). Nothing else changed expect a fresh dyno tune, and I picked up 19 RWHP and 10 torque. Stock shortblock revs nicely to 7,000 RPM.

    Bilsteins all the way. Make sure you get the quad shocks (a.k.a. axle dampeners), too. Without them I started getting wheel hop with only the rear Bilstein shocks.

    Ah! Some good news tonight. P0155 (Bank 2 O2 circuit manfunction) came on tonight along with P1151. I suspect the "low" voltage reading is, in fact, zero volts due to the circuit fault. A bit annoying that P0155 didn't come on for 5 days, but better late than never. I suspect I can fix this.

    No, my MAF is stock. It's odd because I didn't have this problem for the past year, ever since I got cams and a tune, but it just showed its ugly face after my electrical issues.

    I had a similar problem with my driver's side timing chain. It had slack in it because the hydraulic tensioner wasn't seated on the block properly after my cam install. My plastic chain guides looked fine at 90,000 miles, so I kept them. I'm curious what they look like now at 109,000 miles...
