    Well yah. Stock tach is cutting out at 4900-5000. I just got the car a week a go so I have not got my autometer tach yet but still I think that I am cutting out early. I can tell just by driving. What can I do to check the rev limiter? This is cutting out too early.

    Rev limiter

    Just guessing, I just got the car and it cuts out at 4900-5000. I don't like it. Should I try changing the TFI? I adjusted the timing to 12 degreees but it flats at 5K every time. Its a Cobra too. I know the ecu sux on the 94-95 cobra but 5k? That is a little low on the power band.

    What is the rev limiter on a 95 5.0. Mine is kicking in at about 4900 rpm. I'm not liking the power curve. I would like to take it to 5200 or a little higher. Comments?

    how to identify an LS rear??

    If it is a 5.0, try a torque brake. If both wheels spin (pending a good limited slip) your good. I believe all 5.0's came standard with LS and the 4 cly did not. I could be wrong though.

    Look at vacuum. Check the brake master cyl. I have had that big hose pop off and fug up the car totally. Start there. Then give more info and maybe we can help more.

    2 Questions need help

    If the car is a 5 speed, put it in 4th gear an push it 3-4 feet in gear. Now try to start it. If that doesn't work, the ring gear on the fly wheel may be broke from the weld. Rare but happens. Pull the starter, look for gears and see if the gears on the fly wheel are still good and connected.
