    Not enough power... In 2005

Yes those cars are faster and slightly more expensive, but many Mustang fans would rather spend extra and get a 375HP car for $30,000 vs. a 300HP car for $26,000. Sure you can mod, but the vast majority of owners don't mod and don't want to risk voiding the warranty. Plus modding lowers your...

    Not enough power... In 2005

I don't think people are asking for a More powerfull base Mustang (GT), They want a second V8 with more power. The Mustang Should have V6, base V8, hi-po V8. Like I said the 300hp 4.6L is good for a midrange engine, but the Mustang should also have and optional 3v 5.0L or 3v 5.4L V8 for...

    Not enough power... In 2005

For the millionth time, insureance rates are not based on HP. Vehicle value, cost of repair, safty, and the % of accedents that model is in are what they are based on. mods = higher warranty cost for manufactorer, they don't want that. higher vehicle cost = more profit, companies like that...

    300C SRT-8

Impressive engine, I hope the Charger gets it too. This HP race is going crazy, it wasn't long ago that the Viper had only 400HP and 450HP

    Not enough power... In 2005

Ford will lack for '05 but will hopfully have something special for 2006. in 2005 others will have: 400HP GTO 340HP 300C 340HP Chrager R/T 425HP 300C SRT-8 (6.1L Hemi) 425HP Chrager SRT-8 (05 or 06?) It looks like rumors of the 3v 4.6 being overrated are untrue (at least in Auto cars)...

New Ford 6.2L V8 might be a pushrod engine?

If I was to put money on it I'd say they are going OHC. But I thought the 6.2L was just a bigger version of the 5.4L V8, it seems that this is an all new engine. GM has had a lot of success with their newest generation of pushrod V8s and Chrysler switched to OHC V8s (4.7L) and then switched...

2007, the Mustang will have Competition, Camaro is Alive AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 3700lbs. 350HP GTO gets 29mpg hwy. I'd expect a lighter 3400lbs. Camaro to get 28-29mpg hwy with a 400HP LS2 V8. Throw in DoD and VVT and you will have a 400HP Muscle car getting 32mpg hwy. If your rolling your eyes at "too much HP" than you belong in a Civic, not a Mustang. You...

New Ford 6.2L V8 might be a pushrod engine?

According to the Sept. Motortrend, Ford hasn't yet decided on whether the upcomming 6.2L V8 will be a pushrod or OHC engine. I guess the engine isn't far enough in development yet. Aside from being smaller, lighter, and cheaper to build, going with pushrod design will make it easier and...

1/4 mile vid of 05 Stang GT

95mph trap :nonono: So much for those underrated 4.6L rumors. Can the new A5 really be that much of a dog????

    Dyno numbers from a 5.4 3V

The new F-150 is a lot heavier. I wonder how much drivetrain loss is in the 4x4 F-150. I hope that isn't the norm for the 3v 5.4L, if it is the smaller 4.6L 3v might be in trouble.

    2005 Depreciation Rate

The V8 cars seem to hold value a lot better than the V6 Mustangs too.

    2005 Depreciation Rate

I don't think the new GT will go down as fast as the old GT at first. The people that will get burned really bad are the "got to have it first" group that will pay MSRP for them. Unless you are buying a end of year left over, buying a brand new car is never a good investment.

    Rebates on the 2005 Mustang?

For a limited edition or hard to get cars MSRP is fair, Mass produced cars like the V6 Mustang that will be coming off of rental fleets 9 months later MSRP is for suckers.

    Rebates on the 2005 Mustang?

If you pay MSRP for a new 2005 Stang you are a Big SUCKER. They will be mass produced to the number of 150,000+, it isn't a limited production car. By spring 05 you will be able to get one for $500 over invoice.

    Rebates on the 2005 Mustang?

No rebates until late summer 2005 probably. (other than military and college grad)

C6 cheaper than C5!!!, will this help keep 07 Cobra prices down?

Since Cobra launch is 2+ years away we won't get any hints from Ford, A lot of it is educated guesses, and info from insider leaks. It is still not 100% certain what engine the Cobra will get yet. We should have a better clues once the Mustang GT and Lightning prices are anounced. Thanks...

C6 cheaper than C5!!!, will this help keep 07 Cobra prices down?

It didn't start on this site, That is the rumor going around all the web. I think it started from 2 things. First Ford said the the Cobra would be going upscale, upscale usually means higher price. 2nd the next Lightning is expected to get a 500HP 5.4L S/C V8 and is expected to be over $40K...

    Is IRS a dealbreaker?

The GTO and G35 may ride better not because of the IRS but because they are both "luxury coupes" more so than the Mustang GT. IRS in general will offer a smoother ride, but a lot of it has to do with how the suspension is tuned. (ex: Cobra vs. Lincoln LS). Isn't the Lincoln Town car live...

C6 cheaper than C5!!!, will this help keep 07 Cobra prices down?

THe Shelby Cobra, if built, is rumored to cost around $90,000+, The SVT Mustang Cobra was rumored to cost over $40K+ if it had the S/C DOHC 5.4L

C6 cheaper than C5!!!, will this help keep 07 Cobra prices down?

Yes, The Vette wasn't ever $45K in 93, it was $35K base 1993 - 300HP LT1 $35K 2005 - 400HP LS2 $43K The Cobra has gone up scale, over the past 12 years. I think $35K is a fair price for a 400HP Cobra that can hang with the base Vette. Since the C6 is now more powerful and lighter the...
