    Yet Another T5 Question

Thanks Thanks 78 CobraII, I thought the only differences would be the depth of bellhousing and shifter location. Since I don't have the smaller bell and flywheel etc., I want my shifter location to be close to the factory position. I already have a 79-93 T5 and am considering swapping...

    Yet Another T5 Question

I have read many posts discussing this swap. Most II owners have a RAD manual already and swap in a T5, preferebly from a 94-95 using their existing small size bellhousing for header clearance. I am converting from an auto and my question is, has anyone on the forum used the whole setup from...

    Eleanor?

Daytona Mustang II This may have been what you were thinking of. This guy is building a daytona concept. I visit his page occasionally because I like his lemans gas filler cap. If any of you have put the late model billet fuel door on your II I'd love to hear how it worked out. andy...

Hey Guys, The wife gave me the street machine '77 mustang ii model kit. I want to make it a cobra ii. I know the guy on ebay sells the decals, but I swore I saw a post in here a couple weeks ago about someone selling the spoiler and back wings. I did a search and couldn't find the...

    Any Ideas on Trans Problem

Thanks for the suggestions gentlemen. I put the tranny in a year ago and just now have been able to get back to the car. It's a '76 and 30 years is fast approaching. I used the original c4 crossmember double hump for the trans. The steel on that thing was thick, compared to a fox body...

    Any Ideas on Trans Problem

d, I didn't think it was flywheel either. But as soon as you mention shaking everyone I talk to jumps on the 28oz balance for early v8's I know it isn't the driveshaft. Hooked up a newer balanced one to make sure. Discovered that a late model 96+ is the right length for this conversion...

    Any Ideas on Trans Problem

I read this forum often, it has provided me with a wealth of information in my long love/hate journey restoring my cobra ii. just wanted to say thanks and suck up before I get to my problem. I have been in the process of converting an automatic to manual. I have a stock engine and went with a 4...

    T-5 conversion

shifter position It wasn't as bad as I thought. I only took about an 1.5" of metal out. After I bend the arm back alittle should be OK. I am having problems with the full console, looking for a mini with ashtray. andy

    T-5 conversion

Correct Bellhousing I went with a T5 and used the bell from same engine '89 Since I am staying pretty stock I did not worry about header clearance. It's a pretty tight fit using stock manifolds. I used a late model flywheel and had it rebalanced and was able to use my original c4 starter...

Goofy wiring Well my headlights are working, but there is some extra wire in the grill. I always thought was an aftermarket alarm. I'll check my headlight leads.... thanks andy

    Where does this go?

No Defroster I don't think so, I don't recall any wires. Basically this would go to an accessory item?

    Where does this go?

Gentlemen, I finally got my engine running after pulling and putting in a t5. I have this yellow lead dangling and was wondering what it is supposed to attach to. It is a hot lead. I circled in photo from an engine picture from mustang.net andy

    Quick Question

Post in forum I bought mine after seeing an ad in mustangII.net classified section. Post some pictures and a fair price and an enthusiast nearby may see. No hassle of signing up for ebay, just have people inquire to an email address andy

    Clutch Pedel Woe's

An idea fastmonkeywheels, I understand your question, and frustration. Most of us who have converted to manual grabbed the whole assembly. My comment is based on memory since my car is stored out-of-state for the moment. The picture from the side showing pedal resting on mount looks...

    Finding Tires

I know everybody is stepping up to bigger size rims. I still have 13" rims and will need to replace tires soon. Where can I locate? What brands are available? And if I want to increase the stance, put bigger tires on rear, what sizes do you recommend? thanks for suggestions andy

    5 Speed from late 80's 4s & 6s

Havn't driven yet My research found that the trannies from late model 4, and 6 cyl. would easily handle a stock '77 302. I ended putting an 89 4 cyl T-5 behind my 76. I used the late model bellhousing and had to have a machine shop press pilot bearing because the input shaft is skinnier...
