what sensor is this? PIC asap

All I found were leaves, bits of wiring, oxidized pennies, and a treat SOGGY POTATO CHIPS under my seats when I first bought the car. :notnice:

    interiors get boring

I'd agree if you were keeping the whole car stock, but if I'm spending $$$ upgrading the outside with current technology, I like to do the same with the interior and modernize it. Besides all I can see when driving is the interior, hood and hatch, might as well make it look pleasing to my eye...

Should I stay close to stock?

It sounds like you are happy with the way your car currently is, so I would leave it alone in terms of mods. EXCEPT, I would upgrade to some unequal length shorty headers to replace the stock exhaust mani. Currently, the upgraded mid-pipe & catback are not being utilized to their full flow...

    stupid myspace rice idiots.....

It's the same thing on YouTube. Some guy with a Mustang or Camaro/Firebird posts a video at the DragStrip, half of them are just 'for fun 13-14s+' videos not trying to brag, and the comments left are "my honda is faster, what a slow POS", but never any proof to back it up. I could care less...

    Speedo Gear

That's the one, part #J3167393 - I got mine at the local Chrysler dealership. You can get em at Ford dealerships as well, but they just buy them from Chrysler and mark em up lol. From what I've heard, above a 20 tooth speedo gear gets chewed up over time. I've had mine in there for 2 years...

    Base idle reset?

Sorry I did read the file, but it seemed more of a dealer service bulletin. I don't have an external tachometer, nor color coded orifice plugs (not sure what they are even). Ty for the link though I will reset the comp after everything is done. :nice:

    Code 95 w/MAF conversion

Ok if that hasn't been added, I will ignore that code. I haven't had any fuel delivery problems in the past, she's just running rich at the moment.

    Speedo Gear

^^ Correct, due to the 8tooth drive gear in them

    Speedo Gear

I'm fairly certain the 7tooth drive gear needs a red 21 for the 3.73s and a white 23 for 4.10 gear ratio. So a 23 tooth speedo gear should be quite accurate on the pre-90 OEM T-5.

    Speedo Gear

You could purchase the 23 tooth white gear and see if it's accurate (= 89 older) or still off (= 90+). Also, not sure what tire size you have, but it will play a small factor in accuracy.

    Code 95 w/MAF conversion

I pulled code 95 in the KOEO test. My 87 was converted to MAF. I've read jrichker's comment; "Some Mass Air conversions neglect to run the extra fuel pump wire, and they always have a 95 code. See http://www.stangnet.com/tech/maf/massairconversion.html for more information on the Mass Air...

    Base idle reset?

I scanned the 11 pages of the Surging Idle Checklist, didn't find an elaboration about my above question/confusion. Hopefully, you can provide the answer here. Thanks.

    Base idle reset?

Actually your thread is where I got this confusion Under section 2. another user is quoted... (copied from MustangMax, Glendale AZ) C.) Always reset the computer whenever you adjust the TPS or clean/change any sensors. I just pull the battery lead for 10 minutes. D.) The key is to...

    Base idle reset?

When resetting the base idle and checking the TPS, you are supposed to disconnect the negative of the battery first to clear the computers memory, correct? Only reason I ask is I read somewhere where it said to disconnect the negative terminal after setting the base idle and checking TPS...

    adjusting TPS..

While wanting to set it to exactly .98v is pointless, how is checking the effectiveness of your TPS a ricer mod? To the OP: You need to pierce the green wire on the TPS (I used a sewing needle), the positive of the VM will go to this. And the negative obviously goes to a ground (I used the...

    Brake pedal while stopped

Alrite, checked the fluid today, still topped up, none of the lines are wet, or wetness around the discs/drums/ground. Must be the MC not able to keep pressure after a few seconds. Thanks for the MC confirmation

    Brake pedal while stopped

I know what you mean ^^ checking the simple stuff first. Nope, we bled the lines (there was air in the front passenger side actually). Fluid is topped up, parts wise everything was checked on the front and back for functionality. The brakes feel like a new car, until I am stopped for say 5+...
