    not nearly enough info. describe your cooling setup. it is not hard at all to keep an aod cool, with a big cooler. if it is mounted flat, and has a fan on it (the cooler) then of course it will not work well.

    just installed 4:10's and cant get any traction at the track!!!!!!

    back timing to 5*, reinstall the 2.73 gears. traction will return............... or remove the sway bar, run the slicks at 12-14psi, and go to a track that preps.

    WELL, HERE is the prob. the 1-2 shift valve "blue" spring was not used. transgo words it wrong in the manual imo, they say "very, very firm" shift or something to that effect........therefore alot of people do not install that spring, this causes the 1-2 AND 2-3 shifts to be less firm...

    ????? why dont ya flip the switch to 8 cyl?? (or, do they have that after the 79-86 cars, i know they did...) anyway, sounds like the idle is too high, and/or it has a mal adjusted tv cable.
