    popping sound?

    well after checking to see if the plug wires were crossed about 8 times... i finalley noticed that 4 and 8 were crossed.. the 2 problem cylinders... im an idiot. thanks for al the replies.

    naw on one of my wrecked gts i converted to lx and the bumpers wont fit... wut do you mean drag? as in wind resisitance?

    the fouled plugs were the wrong ones... all were really lean cept #4 and #8 they were really dark... i changed the plugs and then started it and ran it crappy .. when i pulled them to do the comp test... #4 was lil lean and #8 was a lil rich...all the rest were nice like roasted marshmellows.

    ok... so all of them 1,2,5,6,7,8 all read 145 but 3 read 135 and 4 reads 150... could there be a gasket leak causing this? why the hell does it pop? I pulled all the plugs... all were fine cept #4 looks a lil lean and #8 looks lil rich... any suggestions? i figured out that 135 is 10% lower than...

    im checking my comp right now... i finished 1-4... #4 was lowest at 135 #3 was at 150 #2 was 145 and #1 was 145 1=145 2=145 3=150 4=135 Is this a problem?

    the crazy thing is i had the wrong plugs in a couple days ago and i pulled them out... #4 and #8 were charcoal black and the rest were white.... i cant remember if it was popping then but i remember it had the same idle wouldt rev fast and and drove like ****.. then i go get the right plugs...

    I will go and ck them again but im almost positive they are good... Is there anyway this could be gasket related? And I also do have a narly vac leak but cant seem to track it down... Loud like a gear drive lol... could that cause that one cylinder to pop on que everytime? its not erractic...

    well it isnt sucking the air it is like pushing it idk gasp came to mine but it is comming from the areas of the fuel rail and like swooshing air
