    In my experince new motors are still the same ole motor that you are used to they just use electronics for air/fuel delivery versus a good ole carb. As long as you have a good tech manual that has all of the proper torque requirments and procedures then you should be able to rebuild it fairly...

    I have yet to see any MIL eliminators for the 05's so I think you have to use a tuner to turn off the back two O2 sensors or you will get an SES light turned on.

    just be ready cause it is loud as hell with that setup! I just put that exact setup on this weekend and I was shocked at how loud and raspy sounding it was. I had the SLP on with the stock H-pipe and it souded awesome but when I added the bassani catted x-pipe it made it atleast twice as loud...

    My flows on my 02 F-150 only ran me $150 while the kit was running something like $450 on the internet. In my experience it has been much cheaper to have an exhaust shop piece together a system then it is to buy a kit but as alway YMMV.

    well the SLP kit was $220 and my local shop charged me $40 to do the same thing. so I dont think your assumption about cost is accurate.

    I never buy kits just because I want to give the business to my local muffler shop. The only difference will be if your local shop dosent have a mandrel bender but even that dosent make a difference unless you are trying to squeeze every last HP out of your car.
